Have cycled this morning, washing is in the machine to peg out soon, will dog walk, clean and meal prep for the rest of the day.

Dolly, thanks for running this month.
Overall, I'm happy with how this month has gone. Whilst I didn't make 15NSD I have managed 10 (NSD today) which for me, is good. Constantly topping up decorating supplies have made this month difficult, so to have double figures is great.
More money came into the joint account (account for bills/shopping etc) than went out of it, so I have balanced the books, so to speak. This was really important for me, as there have been occasions where we have spent beyond our means.
I've also come under our grocery budget by just over £100.00 which is massive. Given the takeaways we have had this month, that low grocery budget is key to keeping the books balanced!
I'm ready for a new month! See you all in May!February Grocery Budget: £190.75/£350.00

Adding my thanks, Dolly. :T I have enjoyed the month and the constant reminder of simplicity has been excellent.
Today I am grateful for getting plenty done, for lots of walking, for playing the buses game and getting so much done within the hour limit, for dd having a good day, for an enjoyable swim, for making a decent-looking apron for dgs, for dh enjoying his flying experience, for slow-cooker drumsticks.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Hi all :j
Thanks so much for running the thread Dolly - see you all over on the May thread Turtles..
Simplicity - think about the simple pleasures in your life which you really appreciate, friendship, family, cake. Focus on those this month as much as you can (maybe not too much cake though). Friend called round today for tea & chat, great to see her.
Persevere - I know that trying to reach your goal can sometimes seem never ending but try to remember that each time you waste money/time it can take you further away from what you really want for the long term. Spends today as shopping & CS stint. Will be a bit spendy for the first half of the month, as off on hols tomorrow.
Reduce - I wouldn't be me if I wasn't asking you to reduce. Think about what you really need and what will be left at the end, is there a better way to consume. Used up some chicken to make a curry, DD however called in Arsda & got lots of 10/20p YS bargains..oh I forgot you were going away tomorrow for 10 days...oops! Think all will get used though.
Invest - in yourself, your family, your home - the things that really matter to you. Busy day first shopping; then CS stint; then visit from friend; then cooking; then cutting grass etc etc..hopefully will recharge batteries whilst on hols.
Grab - take life by the horns. Do something which takes you outside of your comfort zone at least once this month. Sweater getting on OK & now remembered I was supposed to be making of all things a dog coat for charity. Have till next Tuesday to finish it, hopefully get a lot done on the ferry etc..
NSDs: finished on 15/15
NO spending in coffee shops, work canteens, vending machines. If you do it needs to be planned in advance and budgeted for. Never go in coffee shops, no canteen, don't use vending machines either. But I still waste money! Groceries today & pet food for beasts.
