Hi all!
NSD #6 here and sold a pair of shoes too. That's £20 coming in and I'll put it to one side ready to take off the loan.
Work tomorrow, made lunch already so should be another NSD, will check in then0 -
NSD4 today. Did practically nothing but lie on the sofa and read a book (c/s book), and chat to step-gran on my mobile (free calls)
Tomorrow I am house cleaning, doing all laundry, and cleaning floors in readiness for the big two week Easter holidays!!!!
Waiting for seeds to start to grow - another watched pot that does not like to be observed.
Getting organised with school admissions for DS3 and his multitude of ridiculous paperwork, and DS1 and his extended child benefit forms. Won't be long until the ridiculous child/working/tax credit nonsense starts again.
Lists written, plenty to do but with little motivation at the minute. Luckily I have a large pile of books to dive into as a reward for getting things done. Anything done really.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Came back from my holiday yesterday. Had a great time. Came back with some of the spending money. Brought a hoodie and a zip hoodie. Also got 2 fridge magnets for someone. Got postcards too. Just catching up with sleep. Did go outside my comfort zone whilst on holiday as I went round by myself in an area that I did not know at all.
NSD - 5/15. 3 NSD achieved - 1 when I flew out, 1 when I flew back and 1 today.

Hi all :j
Simplicity - think about the simple pleasures in your life which you really appreciate, friendship, family, cake. Focus on those this month as much as you can (maybe not too much cake though). Painted cold frame outside & planted up 2 hanging baskets that go on front shed...simple pleasures.
Persevere - I know that trying to reach your goal can sometimes seem never ending but try to remember that each time you waste money/time it can take you further away from what you really want for the long term. Have cash in account now to pay for hols, will transfer tomorrow.
Reduce - I wouldn't be me if I wasn't asking you to reduce. Think about what you really need and what will be left at the end, is there a better way to consume. DH chucked some more of his books out, must stop checking the bins as he throws everything., not only his stuff.
Invest - in yourself, your family, your home - the things that really matter to you. Better today, but am unsure of hair appt, it's either tomorrow or next Friday, I have both dates marked.....it had better be next week!
New - new month, new beginning. Don't look back at past mistakes and failures, there is nothing that can be done about them, learn from them and move on. Rarely look back - & when/if I do it's as if that stuff happened to someone else, which of course I was then. Onwards & upwards.
Grab - take life by the horns. Do something which takes you outside of your comfort zone at least once this month. Will do.
NSDs:still 5/15
NO spending in coffee shops, work canteens, vending machines. If you do it needs to be planned in advance and budgeted for. Never go in coffee shops, no canteen, don't use vending machines either. But I still waste money! No eating out but dog food spends and bought a s/h Seasalt dress for £12 inc postage.

Yesterday saw number 6 go by.
No planned spends for today either.
My weekend will be a spendy one as tomorrow I'll have my grocery shopping followed by a date in Liverpool. So I'll need to buy a tram ticket, a train ticket, dinner and probably some drinks too.
Wish me luck!0 -

Is this a first date or a third date? Good luck either way, hope it is fun.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Welcome home KerryWoman.
f0xh0les - we just get a tax credits letter saying we will get nowt, we used to get £40/month which was the minimum but they took that off us years ago now and then told us we had been overpaid - how can you overpay if you only give the minimum. I told them that and never paid it back.
All beds are stripped and second wash is on now, first one on the line. Need to turn the mattresses and re-make the beds. Also need to give the bathroom a once over, steam clean the floors, clean the lounge and turn the sofa/chair cushions, walk the dog and do the school run an hour earlier because a full day is impossible to do at the end of term it would appear.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

NSD achieved today. 6/15.
Walked to/from gp appointment. Have to have a blood test next month. Got the form already.
Went to post office where I got my holiday money to exchange back into pounds.
Decluttered/recycled most the holiday paperwork. Gave the fridge magnets and some leaflets to the person I got them for today. She works at the hospital where my gp surgery is. Was very grateful.
Rested most of the day and catching up with some programmes I have recorded.Frugal Living Challenge 2025 Mortgage free as of 1st August 20130 -
