I cancelled my 3 contact a few days ago, ends 22/01/08. They never offered any help and none was asked for.
They did go on and on about how I never took out the contract with them and that it was through a dealer, despite me telling them I knew all this and it was nothing to do with them. They did try to distance themselves from CNM, and then tried to offer me a few deals as a "valued customer" , which I declined.
So, just waiting to see if I get offered one of those £5 deals in about 5 weeks time, or I will weigh up the deals available at the time.
Lynsey
Refuse all their offers until the day before your contract ends - at that point they may offer you some excellent deals. I got a new phone plus 100 mins + 100 text for £6/year last time.0 -
A MCOL is the same as a small claim via the county court. It is an easier (and slightly cheaper) way to do things, as right up to the defendant issuing a defence it can all be done on-line. Should the defendant ignore the summons or admit the claim then judgement can be obtained on-line as well.
You could start one now, but although you would doubtless win, you wouldn't get any money from them, so really a waste of time and money.
Information on the Administrators site says that as they are in administration you cannot take Court action anyway.0 -
I am another punter singed by this ex company- I feel so annoyed because I got the impression that they were a fly by night outfit from the beginning but when i received my phone so quickly I was reassured -also i have had excellent experince of cash back deals from e2savecom so i wasn't a newbie to the concept. As time went on and first redemption came closer i phoned the company only to find they'd changed their cust services no. to a premium no. -alarm bells commence -then i googled ' coolnewmobile fraud' and what do you think -yes posts from too many disgruntled customers. So I was starting to think I as on to a loser and began my claim process with a healthy helping of consumer paranoia e.g photocopying everything, special delivery,I even videotaped everything going into the envelope. As time went on I became more angry with everyday that passed and no cheque arrived. It's hard enough dealing with fair and reputable companies re cash back but with these boys you feel powerless. So after 1 month I thought i should email them as I hadn't even recd a text to say they'd got the claim- I checked track and trace and yes it had been recd..Armed with the name of the individual who received the claim I proceeded to the website only to find the companies had gone bust.So what now ?I am not going to lie down on this-e2save have been excellent with cash back so go with them with confidence but what about Mobile affiliates who seem to be part of Caudwell Communications who started Homecall with whom I have had home phone and braodband for over 3 years-now they are Pipex .Has anyone had any luck as i intend to start the process of getting my money back tomorrow. All suggestions very much appreciated we mustn't let them get away with this!0

Yes. Read the thread and stop the nonesense. Wishing don't make it so. The thread will guide you as to what you CAN do. And before you go rushing back to E2Save I suggest you read the many recent threads on them.0

Call me a conspiracy theorist but CPW have been doing some unethical marketing of late, and the post above MobileJunkie looks more like a marketing ploy on behalf of E2save.0

Nah; I've seen those. The only thing they have in common is the punctuation, grammar and quality of content.0

Anyone got more than £5 discount from T Mobile as a result of this issue?0

They did agree to a lower tariff. Went from £35 to £20 a month, but reduced mins.
