Your deal £18 for 18 months was a retention deal - nothing to do with cashback problems being discussed here.

it sounds very like retention to me, "significantly reduced network rate for the coming year, plus the first 4 months free."

    I am wrong?

    Spoke to T-Mobile today

They gave me £5 off my Flex 35 package.

They just need to find the details on the system, no real need to haggle.

  • My 12 month contract with T-mobile was for £35 per month from Sept. 07. In Nov 07 I realised that phoneboxdirect had gone into administration I contacted T mobile who only offered £5 per month reduction, which I took. They stated my minimum term before reducing my contract was 11 months.
Phoneboxdirect had also told me the minimum term was 11 months but on the back of the T mobile bills it clearly states you can change after 6 months. I again complained to T Mobile who said that this detail was changed by them in August before I took out my contract, but they did not change their info on the bills. I said that my terms and conditions had effectively been changed and nobody had notified me of any change. They challenged the legality of this but suddenly offered me the chance to reduce my bill immediately to the lowest tariff of £15 per month, for the remainder of my contract. I actually chose a £20 tariff because it offered so much more. I meant to get legal advice on whether I could cancel the contract completely but apathy set in.

I have just received this asking me to register as a creditor with the administrators.
On the site you enter your email address, and it comes up with the amount of money owing to you, according to them
It doesn't look like we will get anything, but you have to be in it to win it, so they say

    Dear Sirs

Mobile Affiliates Limited t/a Coolnewmobile and Phones2yourdoor - In
    Administration

Birmingham District Registry no 5302 of 2007

I would advise you that due to the impracticalities of holding a
meeting of creditors, the Joint Administrators made an application to
the Court to enable them to hold meetings and to put proposals to
creditors by correspondence (including electronic correspondence). On
12 December 2007, the Court issued the Order and I would, therefore,
advise you that the request for approval of the Joint
Administrators’ proposals will be conducted by correspondence.

In this respect, I would advise you that the Joint Administrators’
    proposals can be viewed at
    http://www.phoneboxdirectinformation.com/documents/ProposalsandAppendicesMA.pdf

It should be noted that to be able to cast your vote on the Joint
Administrators’ proposals you will need to register your claim at
www.phoneboxirectinformation.com as directed at the “Register your
claim” section. You will then need to login which will provide you
with the opportunity to cast your vote. To be entitled to vote you
must vote by 12.00 hours on 23 January 2008.

    Yours faithfully

    For and on behalf of

    Joint Administrator

Authorised to act as an insolvency practitioner by the Department of

It reads like these people just want you to vote for them to get their money, in attending to the administration.
I voted accept, hoping that this will allow them to try and resolve our issues

  • What a joke. Apparently 196 hours has been spent on the case since PBD ceased trading and they are claiming an AVERAGE of £146 per HOUR.

Learn from the mistakes of others - you won't live long enough to make them all yourself.
  • I was thinking of rejected all of the points as it looks like the administrators will be loaded and the director are laughing and its just us customers that get screwed. We're not going to see any money back especially as we are owed £7.5 million so I'm goona reject everything and make the administrators work for their money!!
