I managed to get all but my last cashback from these people, which came back in the post the other day. Took my chances and got a cheap phone for the year. I don't think I'll be doing it again, but it has given me an idea. Theres obviously plenty of money to be made in this so I'll be setting up a phone company selling cashback deals. I'll post the website on here when I get it going so all the whingers, mugs and muppets can buy from me. I might even pay out some cashbacks for 6 months or so, just until I've built up some massive debts and juicy profits.

I think it's great how so many people know so much about how well the people running these companies did out of it. Personally, I think I'd rather be a customer.0

I cannot believe you are being serious. Do you really believe the owners lost their own money when the company went under ?

I have no idea, but it's quite possible. Of course, I bow to the bitter psychics who know better and want someone to blame other than themselves. As far as I'm concerned, I took my chances, lost on this one, mitigated the loss and moved on to other deals. I went in with my eyes open, well read and considered regarding the risks and the people I was dealing with and am content with my outcome. Whether they lost or win makes no difference to me whatsover - but I don't presume to know. However, I would add that being in business as a sole trader or small company is no easy ride and from the way this developed it seems (like a few other dealers recently) that they were trying variuous things (some unsavoury and others legitimate) to stay in business. People don't do that if they can simply walk away without a care.0

Nope....nothing either.
Been calling them every few days.
Going to call again tomorrow and insist on speaking to a manager.
Called again today and got my contract end date changed back to May 2008 but by doing that it takes off the half price deal.
Not happy at all but seems theres nothing i can do about it except wait til the cashback team call me back and discuss it with them.
If they ever do call!!
Hopefullyuseful1, can you help me on this please?
All i want is the deal i was offered.
Half price line rental (£17.50) until 16 May 2008 when my original contract is due to expire and not having to extend it another 6 months or pay full price.0 -
Nah.. T-Mobile (tmobile) won't move below matching their current price offerings.
Therefore 5 quid off, per month..
Move down a tariff and it's the full previous price....
The disparity between the allowance on the mins, therefore means it's best sticking on your current tariff.
Aw well, the pyramid economics didn't add up anyway... Hang on that's the same business model as banks, isn't it... i.e that we don't all make accurate claims/draw our money out at the same time, thus causing a 'run'.....
We caused a run on CNM... lol.... Remember that one for banking...0 -
Well has anyone managed to get Orange to do anything. I called them and their Customer Services (aka Mumbai) informed me that 'Orange Management' hadn't heard of this company going into administration but had helped others out in a similar situation in the past and not to worry all customers would get a text message when they were informed.
In other words a complete fob off (not just the first person but also the 'supervisor of the day'.
All in heavy accents!
Anyone any ideas?0 -
My husband and I only found out about this today! (When our cashback claim was returned to us in the mail!).
We called Vodafone at 0870 0779 779 and spoke to the lady who's dealing with this and she offered us a £45 (500min, unlimited txt) contract for £35. We turned it down and she offered to reduce my current subscription by 50% (ie to £17.50) until my contract runs out in Apr. We accepted that.
We're so glad we got to sort it out that fast! No need to wait for any of them to call back! Maybe it's because it has died down a littler and it's Christmas? hmmm
Anyway...
I'll never sign any contract with any mobile cashback co.!!! Grrrr
Happy Christmas Everyone!!0 -
