  • Cpw - though nowadays I really wouldn't advise anyone to do any cashback deal unless they really, REALLY understand what they're doing - including cpw!
  • i just had a call from three mobile, just over 3 weeks after i registered my complaint.
they have given me 150 pounds credit which means i will not be paying line rent for the next 8 months.

I'm on my final month of the original 12 month contract i took out with 3 via phone box direct, which i was suppose to get £300 worth of cash back.
I did get my first cheque of £60 back in July but nothing since then. with the £150 credit from 3 i'm still short by £90. but its better than nothing

I ve already decided to renew my contract with 3 on the 500 mins mix and match tariff for 18 months and also received a new phone, which a due to start next week. then a few days later they phoned me up offering the £150.
The only thing which may bother a few customers is that if you accept the £150 you have to sign another 6 month on the new contract, which did not bother me either as I intend to stay on with them after the minimum term contract ended.

My wife also the received £150 credit she sign up for the same contract as me.

    Merry Christmas everyone

do you think is a good deal ... because my brother had a contract with three and got 18 months for 18 pounds .. will you still be offered something like this after this £150 credit runs out?

  • Vodafone eventually called me today offering a new phone k770i, £10 a month for 150minutes and 250 texts i think as a gesture of good will after i complained about the call centre staff I had after phoning up about coolnewmobile.

It just sounds more like a renewal contract they've quoted for him (esp. as he was so near the end of his contract). As they've asked him to take out a new contract etc. and given him the standard money off/credit to pay for some of the months.

yeah does sound like a renewal .. my brother b4 the cashback crisis got 18 months for £18 (in total) and received his full cashback.

has any1 received any other cashback compensations from 3 - they told me they will now be taking 6 weeks instead of 4 to investigate .. i think this is claw all the line rental they can ..

    Update 20 December 2007

3 rang me this evening to advise me that they are still trying to get my money back for me.

Quite how they intend to do that is not at all clear.

They also have offered me a significantly reduced network rate for the coming year, plus the first 4 months free.

In addition to the reduced rate they are sending me a new Nokia handset.

I had to agree to accept this on the phone, they were not prepared to send me the details in writing first. However, I have 14 days to cancel.

They assure me that it in no way affects my rights to claim the money still owed by CNM, and that 3 are still trying to get my money back for me.

We shall see how this goes.
