my family lost out on 4 contracts with pbd on voda.
i have been looking around for a good deal as they are all ending this month, i have seen phones4u but they have very few details in their terms and conditions about cashback. just to fill in and post the the forms they send you...
i have seen a 9 months free on 12 month contract, clearance phone.
any opinions on phones4u?

I contacted vodafone customer services in late November after reading this thread. I am the account holder, but my 18 year old daughter at university uses the phone. I was told someone would call back with 48 hours, and they rang my daughter and suggested a new 12 month contract at £17.50 commencing 1st Dec. She wanted to check with me first and he guy said he would call at 2pm the next afternoon. However he never called back. Since then between us we have called vodafone 9 times, and each time we call we are told we will receive a call with 48 hours. This is very frustrating as of course we would love to accept this offer. Customer services say there is nothing at all they can do as a different department is dealing with the CNM customers. Rather worryingly, as my daughter is a student, and is often in lectures, she may not be able to take the call if they ring during the day. Can anyone suggest what I should do next. This has been going on for more than 5 weeks now.
I just thought I'd share with you that a very kind and considerate poster sent me a pm as a result of my call for help. They work for Vodafone and resolved my problem in less than 24 hours. We now have half price line rental backdated. Thank you so much!0 -
Claire Jones; I hope you've done your homework on E2Save or you could end up with more problems!0

Ive never used phones4u but dialaphone seem to be a safe bet.
I used them for my last contract and received all cashbacks within a week of sending them away.
Thinking of using them again when my current contract expires.0 -

Write them a strongly worded email and send it through their contact us form on their website.
I too waited weeks n weeks for a callback.
I got it within a week of emailing them and got everything sorted out.0 -

that is not true. they are offering people £150 as goodwill. however they want to tie you in for another 6 months.
Well they have offered me !!!!!! all despite having reported CNM being in adminstration.
Actually, when I called up to cancel my contract, they did tell me they were working on something, and if I cancelled then I wouldn't be able to receive it - however, they couldn't tell me what it was...
I should be ok tho, as I have now accepted a retention deal, so I will be contacting them about the £150.0 -
I stand to lose well over £1000 because of PBD going into administration.
I took out three Vodafone contracts as backup phones for my folks who cannot afford mobiles which the bills show as little or no use on any of them. I am now in month 10/11 of the contracts and Voda have had around £1000 in payments already for unused contracts! I took all three of these contracts out on the basis that I would receive 100% back and have received none.
When I heard PBD were going into administration I contacted Vodafone straight away and was told that I would be contacted back within 3 days by their special team. I did receive a call somewhat late and the guy I spoke to was arrogant, rude and highly argumentative (even though he claimed he was not!). He was not able to resolve the issue for me whatsoever and claimed (I now know pretended) that he would call back the following day after speaking with superiors to resolve the issue. The call never happened. I have since been chasing Voda up every so often to ask them to get their team to contact me back. Nothing, no call, nada. So over a month has happened and Voda have taken another monthly bill and I am even more out of pocket.
The only slightly reasonable part to my story is that I managed to get one of the normal Voda team to bring all the contracts down to £20 each. This is still highly unacceptable as he agreed. In fact this guy is the only helpful person at Voda I have spoken to and could not understand why the team had been so rude and useless with dealing with me.
On a seperate note I have had horrendous experience with Voda generally. Twice last month one of my phones was disconnected for no reason whatsoever leaving me unable to use my mobile phone to call anyone (including Voda themselves to reconnect the darned thing!)
All in all, a very bad time to find out I am going to be losing over £1000 and I definitely recommend sticking to O2 or Orange in the future as I have had far superior and professional customer service from them. My first Vodafone experience will be my last.:mad:0
