Is there a way to email vodafone/contact them online about getting the half price offer?
I have called them and having been waiting nearly a week for them to call me.
thanks
If I was you I would phone them on 0870 0779 779 tell them your problem that you were on a cashback deal with whichever one it was and ask to have a call back from the Co Action team.
I phoned them and someone called me back within 48 hours but I missed the call. I then phoned back the next day again to the above number and told them that I had missed the call and the lady said she would have to register another call back within 72 hours. Half an hour later I received a call and was offerred the half price rental up to the end of the contract in June no questions asked. I did think about asking for the £5 a month or new 12 month contract but in the end Vodaphone dont have to give anything so I will just learn from this and move on.
If I do a cashback deal next time the only company I will use would be Dialaphone but I will give Vodaphone the opportunity to see what they can do when the contract expires.0 -
I've just had my call from Vodafone. I was on an 18 month (£40 p.m.) contract which started just 2 months ago I got my phone through Coolnewmobile. Anyway, Vodafone have offered me the 50% deal for 12 months (ie the contract length has been shortened) so I'm well pleased. What could have cost me £720 is now going be around £300, given that I've already paid 2 months at £40 a month.
As for contacting them, I used 191 and followed the options to speak about my account. In fact, I missed their first call last Friday and so yesterday called again and asked for them to call me back again...this they did less than 24 hours later.0 -

Good luck with your quest with Vodafone, let us know how you get on.
the woman foned me today after a weeks wait.. and she offered 17.50 line rental and wouldnt budge any lower, i told her i couldnt afford 17.50 at all.... and she said "well its your only chance now to change it to half price, cos you wont be able to change it after" ..... i was stuck but in my mind i knew i WOULD have been able to change it another time!
my mum advises me to cancel it altogether, despite the credit rating, cos i really cant afford it now, lol 17.50 is gona put me in debt... so im going to ring them again soon.
thanks for all your help0 -
I've had a phonecall from Watchdog, they're featuring this on their program this week and wanted to know if it was OK to read out my email and if there had been any changes.

Has anyone else been tied to a new 12month contract by Vodafone without agreeing to it and if so what have they done about it?
Im waiting for a callback from the specialist team to see whats going on.

Any up to date (or other info) on Orange's response to this ? Are they freely allowing people to downgrade their contracts ?0

For you guys waiting for a call back from Vodafone, seriously I would recommend you call them again. I called them twice, as the first time I missed their call back, but on both occasions they responded within 24 hours. Seemingly they have a team dedicated to calling us up and offering us the 50% deal so I imagine the request for a call back hasn't been logged properly.
Good luck!0 -
Has anyone recieved a text message from vodaphone saying that they are a valuable customer and are entitled to a limted time offer and will be getting a phone call in the next day or so about it?
I am one of the customers that was affected by phonebox direct and i have rung up quite a few times and they have said they will ring me back, but instead i got this txt0 -
That's probably a spam message - ignore it and call vodafone up direct.Wondering how to have a life & not rack up more debts...0
