Nothing changes the situation we all find ourselves in. There is no other way but to accept what has happened and move on. No point in dwelling on the past, it can't be changed. If you dwell on it you only end up going round in circles anyway so you don't actually achieve anything.0 -
I just called T-Mobile and they told me I could have a £5 reduction on my current price plan or downgrade to a lower price plan. Think the cheapest is £20 a month but then you hardly get any texts or minutes and I actually use mine so not worth the deal. My contract's up in May, think I'll accept the £5 reduction and be done with it!0

I was offered half price line rental (£17.50) for the remainder of my contract (6months).
However, i received a letter today from Voda thanking me for renewing my contract with an end date of Nov 2008 for £35p/m.
I called 191 and was told that although it says £35 on the letter, on their system it says with half price line rental of £17.50 but that it is for 12 months.
I explained about the team that called me with the offer and was told he'd put a note through for them to contact me to explain.
Did this happen to anyone else?0 -

Yes it happend to my OH, i've been waiting for a callback from that special team for 7 days now ... still no call back ! I'll have to ring up and cancel the deal ... i don't want to be stuck until Nov.0 -
I called back and the guy i spoke to said they shouldnt have done that and can't see why as its clear they offered it for the remaining 6 months.
He emailed the team and said he'd get me a call back.0 -

Yes im still getting 500 minutes and 250 text at £5
Good luck with your quest with Vodafone, let us know how you get on.0 -
katzinthehouse:- They won't, I'm afraid. Yes, we are. The best you can hope for (and the likelihood) is that you will get half-price for the remainder of your contract. However, don't be too peeved; no other network has (generally) helped in any significant way at all. One of my friends missed out on the £5 too despite our best efforts - but she is very happy overall since she began fully briefed about the risks with this dealer and anticipating zero cashbacks - though I would have made sure she got them IF the company was still trading. Although I didn't need the minutes or texts on my contract, she did - so would have been paying more than her overall outlay will now be, if anything. Depending on how long your contract's been going it's a great deal even without the cashback - but I'm afraid that's in the lap of the Gods and depends also on whether you got your cashbacks while the company was still trading. This is a salvage operation and the good news is that you're with Vodafone.0
