THanks
when i spoke to 3 they told me i could only downgrade after 12 months.
they were a bit thick to deal with. they said have you tried calling the retailer, i said they went bust and therefore not taking calls. 3 then told me cnm were still showing as active. i asked the cs rep to call cnm then. she did and it was a dead tone. they then proceeded to take down my details and said they would pass the case on.
said it would take about a month to investigate and someone would call me then.

Hi pin,
Thank you, it seems the key is to prove PBD or CNM aer out of bussiness to them.0 -

It is not in their interests to know - so they don't.0 -
Just a thought relating to network/retailer side of this.
What is happening with regard to commision due to cnm/pbd from retailers now that they are in liquidation? Still paying i guess.
Possible angle for people with very recent contracts? Longshot I know.0 -

Think the cheapest is £20 a month but then you hardly get any texts or minutes and I actually use mine so not worth the deal. My contract's up in May, think I'll accept the £5 reduction and be done with it!
Same with me. £5 quid off my current £35 month which gives me £120 allowance a month or £20 a month with an allowance of something like £30 quid.0 -
Cheers all for the advice. I called Vodafone, they called me back the next day and offered me half-price line rental to end of contract or on a new 12-mth contract. What a nice company they are!Friendly greeting!0

And risk! Even with the best of knowledge, care and attention it can still all go wrong (for whatever other reason as we have already seen!)0 -
True. But life's a risk. People simply have to understand them and choose whether to participate. Out of over 26 deals my friends and I now have lost on just three. Those are acceptable odds - especially when they weren't a total loss and because we accepted a higher degree of risk in going with what was plainly a very small outfit. Anyone not understanding and accepting that should have stayed well away. It hasn't put me off at all. But then I know the risks and how to play the game.0
