  • I just rang 191 as I have a contract through CNM and asked nicely if there was anyone who I could speak to about my contract and downgrading and he just said they had been told to say "Vodafone have no affiliation....blah blah blah" which I knew anyway. So I asked about downgrading and he point blank said that NO ONE had been downgraded becasue of CNM and its nothing to do with them! I wasn't expecting the world I was only asking and he was just very rude. I'm upset now not because of the money I've lost but because I was spoken to like that. I took out the contract knowing the risks but am cheesed off by the very rude man so will be leaving vodafone as soon as I can (23rd Jan) :-(

    If I was spoken to like that I would write to the head office, not because you didn't get a reduction in your monthly payments but because it is downright rude to be spoken to like that.

    There is still a lot of confusion at Vodafone over the problems because they are dealing with the collapse of a number of companies all at the same time. The very nice lady I spoke to yesterday did say that some departments still don't know what the score is and what they should be doing. I think a lot of it is hit and miss as to who you speak to.

    There are some people in life who won't help you even if they can because they get cheesed off at people getting a good deal ... as if the money comes out of their pocket. You meet them everywhere even in Retail shops where they have leaway to provide a better package or deal they don't .... fact of life. On the other hand you have genuine happy go lucky people who would do what they could without even being asked. As most have found on here it's all about who you get through to and speak to ... numbers game. Just beacuse they may have had a crap morning some people ensure everyone else has a crap day because of them !

    I absolutely agree. It is the bad ones who give the companies a bad name and lose them customers. I don't spend my life complaining to people but if I am treated poorly I will usually write to the head of Customer Services. It doesn't happen that often I am glad to say.

    On the other side of the coin, I will also write to the company if I feel I have been treated very well just to show my appreciation. This, I have to say, is something I will be doing for Vodafone as everyone I have spoken to over the last few days (regardless of whether they knew the score about the situation in hand) has been polite and courteous.

    People in this life are very quick to complain and criticise but they very rarely give praise when it is due.

  • I think so long as you have called Vodafone to ask them to call you back within the 72 hours you just need to be patient. They will call you back to discuss the options
  • Thanks for this thread folks. I awoke today thinking with all these new iPhones and HTC handsets released, I wonder what new offers CNM had looking ahead. Then I'm met with the administrators jazzy splash page!! :eek:

    I'm a carer who looks after someone with disabilities and REALLY don't appreciate the abusive tone used by many on here. Please refer to Martin's etiquette at the top right of this page that says clearly "Pls be nice to all MoneySavers'. :A

    It's due to the financial position I am in that I am a contributing member of MSE's forums and have found benefit of using cashback sites like Quidco and Pigsback. I have in fact relied on the information available and jumped at the offers made available by CNM under the assumption that they operated under similar terms that the cashback sites also do. :rotfl:

    I unfortunately have a contract with Orange, whom priceshock.co.uk hand the crown of the 'WORST' operator in the dialamobile collapse, and fear from the lack of posts to the contrary here that the CNM matter will be no different. :mad:

    I have already paid Orange 6 months of a 12 month contract with the expectation of getting the full 12 months back. Like the earlier poster referring to the Coca-Cola child labour loophole (and the post referring to the travel industry) I agree that mobile phone companies have a responsibility as to who they allow to trade with as agents. To become an agent you would surely be required to uphold minimum trading standards. I'm shocked that there was indeed a precedent (ie Dialamobile) and that mobile phone providers and the industry at large are not held responsible for MAINTAINING contracts with companies with similar trading methods I point blank refuse to bare the brunt of their questionable trading standards. I am in no position to be used as some kind of statistic of how this industry needs changing.

    If companies like Orange didn't offer the agent rate to this kind of operator in the first I would not be in the position I am. I'll be interested to see how far I get.
