    Yes, seriously

How many months left into your contract or are you nearing the end of your current contract?

Well said Neillgb, couldn't agree more.
What people don't want to hear is how fortunate they have been because they have done a lot of research and done well from these offers in the past - talk about rubbing it in! ... when others who in good faith have recently taken up these offers and have been let down by these dishonest companies. I to have benefited in the past but haven't blown my own trumpet and also appreciate what Vodaphone have done to help in this sorry predicament.

    Ok, point taken.

    Just one more whinge/waffle though!

People who enter a contract in good faith and comply with the terms and conditions desserve everyones sympathy if that contract is not honoured for whatever reason. With regard to cnm/pbd and the lies and deceit employed even more so. People that disagree with this simple point should perhaps be posting elsewhere as they are not posting in accordance with the spirit of this website. Perhaps www.mobilephonenetworksaresuperdooper.con.

However I feel Vodaphone have acted very well and I applaud then. I hope they gain business at the expense of the other networks. I am looking forward to my call from the retentions team at 3, I doubt their script will cover what I have to say.

I have a contract woith CNM. Therefore I would appreciate it if posters that do not have a contract CNM/PBD would make their posts helpful rather than implying that I and others are stupid and/or greedy.

Mine is a 12 month contract with 8 months to run. I wrote another post a few pages back now which raised the question of whether Vodafone are basing the monthly payment offer on whether or not people would have had the opportunity to make any cashback claims on their contracts. Obviously my first claim was just about to go in when I found this site. I wonder if those who have been offered the half price option have been able to make cashback claims (regardless of whether they actually received anything for their trouble). I would have thought Vodafone would have put this into the equation.

There again, they did only offer the half price option on my husbands identical contract, same time to run, only difference is the phone number.

I got a call last night at 8pm offering the half price deal, I told the guy that I had seen most people getting the £5 deal on the internet and after "talking to his manager" for ten seconds agreed to let me have £5. About 1 minute from answering the phone to putting it down.
    Original Seller: CNM
Time left on contract: 4 months
    Tarriff: £35 per month

Anyone on PBD had ay discounts?

I think its a case of they don't all know whats going on. Some departments are up to speed, others aren't. Its a bit of a lottery when you phone up but so long as you can get someone to take your details and pass them on to the 'special department' and they call you back within the 72 hours I think you have a better chance.

But it is this dept that people are saying are calling back and caliming they can't offer £5 deal anymore.

  • Just had a call back (Vodafone). Said they could only do £17.5
On PBD (MMS). Said the same would apply to CNM. Not inclined to renew in a few month's time when this contract ends based on unequal treatment of customers.
