Are you able to talk on behalf of your partner on their account ?
The account holder has to call Vodafone up and ask them to authorise a specific person to be allowed to deal with their accounts if they are unavailable. The authorised person will have to know your pin number which you use when you call Vodafone.
Its all to do with the data protection act. Nobody can access and deal with your account unless you authorise it.0 -
I called on Monday & got my priceplan reduced.
Less mins for less line rental.
However, after hearing of all those who got theirs reduced to £5 a month i called again today selecting the disconnections option. Im now waiting for the specialist team to call me back within 3 days.
Hope i didnt mess up by agreeing to the revised priceplan on Monday.0 -

I called T-Mobile on Monday and all they offered me was the £5 reduction, so I emailed their Customer Relations teams informing them that I am struggling to find the £30 a month.
I received this email this morning:
I've gone for the £20 plan as it will save me £80 (I have 8 months remaining) against the original reduction in the line rental.
Hi,
Thanks for your post. Iv just sent them an e-mail in the hope they help me out too.
If anyone else has any more updates from t-mobile please post them too.

When the "special department" rep rings you, refuse that half price offer on the grounds you can't afford it.
If you turn down their first offer, they will then make the much better offer of keeping your current tariff, but only paying £5/month till the contract reaches its end.
thanks Quentin, I unfortunatley have already accepted the half price line rental but they have yet to phone my other half so will get his to try for the £5 deal.

Guys,
CNM's delaying tactics made me fear this but unfortunately my gamble is going to cost me £420. !!!!!!! painful. Reading the previous pages I felt relatively lucky being a Vodafone customer though.
However, I'm completely baffled. I just called Vodafone customer service through 191 and spoke to 'Melissa'. She insists they have not heard about CoolNewMobile and can not offer me anything. They can offer me a new tariff only at month 10 of my contract but that is completely unrelated to whether the 3rd party agent has gone into administration. I told them that various customers had been told they would be called back in 72 hrs. but she was very skeptical and on the whole unhelpful. I assume you guys are for real here and not fake . This makes the whole affair even more frustrating.
Those of you who have been able to secure deals and have been called back by Vodafone, is there a special phone number I could use to get to that team directly? Alternatively, do you have any full names of Vodafone staff that have been in touch with you on this issue? If so, please PM me.
Cheers, Tico0 -
Phone 191 again, hopefully this time you will get someone who will help.0

Contacted t-mobile and they've offered me that standard £5 off or switch to a lower tariff.
Just wondered - what tariffs can u go for? For instance, will they let me switch to a Flext18 one (even though it'll only be for 4 months) ?0 -
Oh my God again!!
Seriously, take the advice. Contact your network, try to get your tariff cut. Be civil and accept you are, as the law stands, in a position of weakness.
The Vodaphone reduction to £5pm is an excellent result. Shame i am with 3!!!
Can somone explain? Are vodaphone letting customers stay on their same plan but for only £5 a month? Are they offering this to everyone or just if you hassle them?
T-mobile have offered me £5 OFF or switch to a lower tariff but I might try and get them to offer the same that vodaphone are offering their customers....0
