thanks both XXX It is really upsetting me at the moment. I had longed for this holiday and really believed I would get on with stuff but here we are basically two weeks in and I have achieved nothing for me. I am feeling pretty paralysed by it all. Yesterday I went out all day to avoid the awkwardness of the hairdresser! and "I" had a good day(breakfast out, went to the aquarium place, bought fish) - hence coming home and being positive about the money stuff but Mum isn't happy at all and I feel like I am trying so hard to move forwards but it is a cliff face today. An absolute cliff face. Going to walk the dogs.
    Nevertheless she persisted.
  • Can you break the de netting into chunks and clear a little bit every day? Had to do that with the back garden here because I had no time to deal with it. Bit by bit it is easier to deal with.

Hope your mum is feeling better today.

So sorry to read your post Buffster :(

    It all sounds so stressful:(

It’s annoying when you’re relying on someone else to do stuff and they don’t :(

On the plus side you have a plan so good luck with it xx :)
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
  • You can’t make someone be happy, no matter how hard you try. What you can do though is carve out a space for you and not let it be used as an alternative to a tidy up. You need somewhere that is pleasant and where you can relax. You shopping for sis tomorrow?

  • I had one of those conversations on the dating website that made me strongly realise that I have NO confidence with men at all. I know for some of you who have read my diary for a while this isn't a surprise. And I sort of know it. But this randomly insightful and annoying guy.....wow. harsh but true. He said that.....actually I am not going to write it down. Lets just leave it at I have no confidence.

weird cos in loads of situations (not based on my attractiveness) I am super confident. Hospitals. Schools. talking to people - I mean I will talk to anyone. Apart from Men clearly!!!

Anyhow oddly upsetting but I wanted to write it down as it evidently something that really hurt - even physically to talk about it. It is something I have to work on.

This is so true and I kind of know this. It is hard to break the pattern of don't upset mum. And yes.... I am. He has been ill and I didn't feel I could say anything.

I sit here and I say to myself, I am so sick of this. But how actually sick do I have to be??

I am meeting my friend today which makes me happy. Monday I am going to visit my not very well friend (!) but in the evening I am out for cocktails!! going to be bizarre day.. and Tuesday I am going with another two friends so do have things to look forward to.

I have ordered a piece of furniture to fix a problem with my room - so INOD my sanctuary is coming. Very slowly!

  • Walked the dogs, mum is doing loads better - she did breakfast, croissants in the oven. Very nice.

waiting for the list must remember change for the car park. Need to get rabbit food, bird seed as well.
