Sorry am watching Bridget Jones!
And smug married couples can do one too!
Today was a bit of bust really, but Saturdays are these days! But tomorrow is another day
I think I might spend it watching Rom Coms as Bridget Jones has entirely cheered me up!!Nevertheless she persisted.0 -
You work full-time and sort the house and care for your mum's needs too.
I understand not wanting to use your Sunday cleaning.
Ignore me if it isn't even a vague possibility but could you get a cleaner maybe once a month so you can wrestle some control back?If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

I agree with dia about the cleaner.
Though I think you said that your mum was not keen.
I do think you should really consider it.
There is only so much one person can do.

I have been here for a really time, got out of debt twice and then got in debt again! It is like a hobby.........a really crap limiting unsatisfying hobby!
Currently I am 4841 pounds in debt, don't own a house and have about 1000 across very various accounts for insurance, Christmas, the Summer etc.
In thirty months I aim to have paid off the debt, have 10,000 saved up - some in a help to buy ISA (6000) and some in various saving accounts.
Ideally I will have more savings, but the 30 months is effectively 200 for the debt and 200 for the house, the debt will be paid off before that and then that gets saved somewhere.
This will be achieved by August the 25th 2021.
Well.
That is it. There is the plan.

I'm sorry to hear that what the dating bloke said upset you
I trust he has no faults then!! Don't take any notice. Can we come and beat him up for you.
Glad your mum feels a bit better.

ooo Parsniphead I hope you haven't read the rest! it isn't very interesting!
I think I must be due on since I feel really rough. So tired and such a shocking headache.
I haven't spent any money today and don't intend to. Mum is back to being unwell again, I thought she did too much yesterday. And I am on house duty.
And the house is disgusting.
Well bits are. The kitchen is clean.
ugh.

I think it just surprised me, that he was right. Any how... that side of things of will disappear soon, I have done more than the six months I promised my friends and it is all a bit grim and pointless.

I found myself this afternoon searching for self help books and some kind of programme to follow to get me out of my funk (which I think is partly due to being due on...) Now obviously I have shelves and shelves and shelves of self help books. Before we lost my Dad I had quite a tough time at work (Never!! I hear you say) and a very very bad break up and Susan Jeffers and her Feel the Fear book did get me to move on and change my life a fair bit.
I tried reading it again after Dad passed but I was so grief stricken I don't think anything would have worked I was lost completely and utterly for a fair few years.
Anyhow it was a good book so I started reading it again.Nevertheless she persisted.0 -

Yeah unfortunately Mum is 100% against it, I think I can do more than I do and I think I need to stop resenting stuff. I really could make life better and constantly apportioning blame to me, my mum and my family is not helping. It does not move anything forward.
