La E welcome back and congratulations :)
Ally great news that u are doing better, love to hear the things u have been doing, getting out and about
BB hoping OH is doing better
DawnW hoping that everything is okay with the results if the tests

Many thanks for everyone's good wishes re:funding. The funding is back in place but due to the whole politics of the process pressure is having to be kept on the health board and I now have to wait for an appointment with the spinal unit where we will have to start from scratch with all tests and I dont know the damage of waiting for 8 months. The local urologist would not treat me as was not specialised enough and didnt want to know, had the power to refer me last August but wouldn't.

GP has now got me on long term antibiotics ( I have tried so hard for so long to stay off them as years ago after having pressure sores for 10 years plus, I come from an era of where they used to double up antibiotics with me and was pumped full of them in the early 1990s) which are making me feel much better. Hoping it wont be long before I can come off them.

As soon as I read the posts I checked quidco-always forget!
    Banking checked-everything good :)
DD took me out for a meal last night. Really nice to spend time together and be able to eat a meal.will miss her when she goes back next week.
Have still been eating out of cupboards
Hoping weather will improve today. Rain this morning
Have started to be more active, pottering about and tidying up clutter
Paperwork has been on the backburner, need to start work on this today.
    RM surveys to send.
Sending items for DM who has been basically been dumping stuff on me while she has been having a declutter!

That's about it from me, have a great day everyone x

HK - I really think you do marvellously considering your health issues. You always sound upbeat & productive, & I take my hat off to you. I do hope you can get the treatment & specialist intervention you need.
F xx (& cat sends a fishy good luck lick!)

Dawn - Thinking of you too, with your tests x

    Afternoon Campers,
Slightly curtailed this morning by a 'funny tummy' - Am deliberately eating lightly today so as to settle it down, as I want a productive weekend, & next weekend I have a long trip, so frequent loo visits will defo NOT be required!! Nevertheless, have had a blimming useful morning on the frugal front, with which I shall now bore you:
*Read energy meters & uploaded online
*Dug out car service plan documents for mr f to check if this transfers automatically to the new vehicle. I have a feeling it won't be that simple & the bloke who dealt with the car exchange didn't know. I reckon there could be £80 to £120 in there, so we will need this either transferred or refunded. #jobformrf
*Did a couple of surveys - a very speedy Prolific one for £1. Must get back into the habit of checking for those.
    *Tidied up our ebay account.
*Big Budget Day - reconciled last month's budget & set March's. Lower outgoings than last month, so have reinstated paying all our Savings Piggies. Some of these fell by the wayside a little after our chaotic last few months.
    *Updated & tweaked budget spreadsheet
*Bake bread for freezer as an 'emergency loaf' as we both prefer home baked, but it isn't exactly speed food, is it, especially sourdough.
*Sorted through voucher stash & binned out of date ones.
    *Did next week's meal plans.
*Wrote March birthday cards (from stash)
*Finish blanket square & possibly cast on a sock......or possibly knit a few more squares, as they are nice little projects which I can easily put aside if my tendon starts hurting too much to knit.
*Checked Body Shop account as they sent me an email to say I have a £5 voucher. I have only just spent one, so was pretty sure I didn't, but I do! That's good news as I was wanting to buy one of their hand creams at the weekend.
    *Filing session.
*Ironing - next job - must do before I talk myself into kicking it off the bottom of my list, as I don't like ironing, Shall only press what really needs it & switch off for the final garment as usual.
*Make a list of all jobs I could usefully do in town tomorrow rather than having to go in again in the week. So far......banking, post office for stamps, market, recycling, take charity shop bags, health shop, pharmacy & compost. I am also aiming to pop in the local Co-op, as while they can't compete with places like A*di for general pricing, I've had great yellow sticker items from them recently (such as my 65p a bag wholemeal bread flour haul) & they regularly have good offers on their ground coffee. I like their free magazine too & am hoping there will be an Easter edition.
*Annotated my free desk calendar with 'Shopping Weeks' so that those pesky months with 5 shopping days don't catch me out. Don't worry if this doesn't make sense......it does to my budget, lol!
*Update my DFW diary, as I've been promising my readers another 'Debtisode' for ages.
*All free leisure today, as I intend to read some more of the book I had for Christmas (I'm sure I have too much of an unhealthy interest in the Black Death....not sure what this says about me....), knit & probably watch 'Shetland', as we didn't get round to it on Tuesday.
    Love to all,
    F xx

    Evening all :)
Thanks for the good wishes - no news yet, half expected a phone call today (GP usually rings if there have been tests for something potentially serious). Hopefully no news is good news!
Not done much today, went to market in the next town first thing, spent £1 on 2 cauliflowers and a cabbage, and that was all :)
Dry washing / ironing done last night put away
    Listed a dress on ebay

Icyland shopping delivery came today, including some tins to donate to the food bank (cheaper than Mr S where the food bank donation trolley is situated).
Popped in to sales unit as it was pay day :D
    Paperwork for business done
Reviewed budget spreadsheet for the month, not too bad given I had the new stair carpet to pay for.

OH is out tonight, so I opted for an omelette for dinner :)

Evening all, have had to put the heating on now the weather is back to normal and it's rainy and cold! Other than that I've eaten from stores, paid for pilates course - £24 but was taken out of weekly budget and still have money in my purse.... ; been on a course and called at the bank enroute to pay in a cheque so avoided a special journey; also delighted to get £25 cash back from when I changed gas & elec supplier which i'd totally forgotten about! Also finally did a final You Gov poll which took me to enough points for a £50 payout!
Very long day at work tomorrow so unlikely to post but will be a frugal day as no time or opportunity to spend! Nite everyone Deni x

    Yesterday was NSD yeah!
And carpooled with a colleague to work, part of car trouble pay back, and hopefully future activity to be continued.
Today; long day taxi time for young one, so 3 hours on the road for 'local' errands.
Broke the NSD chain today as had to get gas, and brought an extra dinner and (wine) after getting back from work at 9.30pm left house at 7 this morning.
SO good and bad bits, will update my sad over spent budget for this month over the weekend.
There are some amazing stories going on this thread, and I saw some bread recipes earlier I will have to try.
    AIM:
    More batch cooking
    More snack baking
    xx

    Morning all,
I'm all confused with my days this week, I was sure it was Sunday. It was a lovely moment when I realised it was only Friday!

Not sure what our plans are for today as yet. We had said about going to the cinema (late morning and taking our own snacks - tickets paid for out of xmas money from MIL) but we'll see.
All I've done so far is close off my Feb cashbook and updated March cash book.
Bought tickets for Dh & I to see a comedian we like next March, this will be part of our xmas gift to each other :)
    More ys bagels for breakfast
Out for lunch with the kids, we gave them gift cheques for meals out and this month was ds2s choice - 4 meals £17.98, had a jug of water and called into icyland to get icecreams to have for dessert at home (used Rm survey vouchers)

    Take care all.

    Morning all :hello:

I was really poor at completing my list yesterday, so this may sound a bit like deja vu :) although I did make the call yesterday and they are going to give me £50 'compensation' :D

Check banking, big money shuffle as it's payday :j
    Small shop with list
    Make a cake
Get something out of freezer for tea
Not sure I'll fit a run in, have to do some work at some point :p
Spend some quality time with DH tonight, feel like I've not seen him all week :(
    Lots of washing. Again.
    Call doctors about a prescription

Have a good day everyone. Purps.

I am unbelievably tired this week. It's been really hard work getting back into the day to day routine. Another month gone, another month waiting for solicitors and courts, and another month paying out for legal stuff while my ex ignores everything. Ah well - I must be due to be well rewarded with the amount of patience I'm showing.
Finances are rejigged, although that's quite a large thing. I have done a few bits of exam stuff which will get me more money in the longer term.
I'm trying to focus a bit more on self care this month as far as I can. I seem to be quite run down again for some reason (hopefully just post holiday blues) and my hay fever has started up already. Another birthday is looming and I'm starting to feel just a bit old now... I can look after myself with time rather than money so at least that will be money saving.
