Tried to open one online at 6.45pm but got an error message just saying "Something went wrong" at the end of the process. Immediately, I then got an email saying the account was open, but that I needed to log on to see the details. I logged back in and the new account was not visible.canaldumidi said:Opened new cynergy account 2 hours ago but still not showing.Usually it appears almost instantaneously.Anyone else having delays?
I called them and the CSA could see the account had opened but confirmed that she could only see it on some sort of in-house system and offered to put a report in to fix it. CSA said wait for email to confirm it was "fixed". So I'm waiting to see it online and transfer the funds from the 1.2% EA to the new 1.32% EA. The CSA declined to do the transfer for me
Yes they seem to have some kind of IT issue. I too rang and was told new account open, she could see it but I could not. She 'gave me access' but then said it would take 24 hours to appear....Not the usual near instant account upgrade this time!0 -
In a way, I'm glad to hear it's not just me having trouble with Cynergy! Hopefully they'll sort it out soon. I agree it's not their usual good service this time, the previous 2 upgrades in interest rates have been very fast.Yes they seem to have some kind of IT issue. Yup - mine just gone through no problem0

I had a Cynergy email confirmation for the new account, timestamped 23:00 yesterday, a couple of hours after my application. Balance + interest transferred ok to the new account but the old one sits there now with a negative balance as they have not credited the interest they have moved over. I suppose this will correct itself eventually.0

I've noticed in the past that is the case for a day or so when closing an old account and transferring the funds to a new one.

I periodically check the Cynergy site to see if they've launched a new account, normally by checking the issue number on the main menu. Annoyingly that's still showing Issue 50, so I'd missed this new account.
Anyway, it took just a few minutes to open the new account and transfer the funds across. Weirdly there is no Issue number listed for the new account.Stompa0 -

Mine is still on 1%. Screenshot taken just now in online banking. App doesn‘t show the interest rate at all. The Virgin website also says 1%. Is this an increase coming later today?Descrabled said:Virgin M SaversVirgin Money have quietly increased these accoomts to 1.55% for £1 - £25,000.Linked to VM current accounts
