I would have expected a headline from Savers Friend. VM though are notoriously slow in updating their web pages.
If true, VM will not need massive publicity in the early days as they are guaranteed to be inundated at 1.55% easy access.
They did have a section stating that the Cynergy rate is “paying the second-best rate in the chart” when it’s already down to 4th.0 -

Oh that's good news about Virgin, I couldn't get Chase so was losing out on that rate and I'm already with Virgin and have some money in that savings account, so this is a win win. Very good news this morning!0

I was fine logging in at 7:00 am but now it won’t open. This also means that I cannot authorise my online VM login.1 -
