Mine is still on 1%. Screenshot taken just now in online banking. App doesn‘t show the interest rate at all. The Virgin website also says 1%. Is this an increase coming later today?

I would have expected a headline from Savers Friend. VM though are notoriously slow in updating their web pages.

If true, VM will not need massive publicity in the early days as they are guaranteed to be inundated at 1.55% easy access.

Moneyfacts says Virgin is 1.56%. Still doesn't alter the fact that Virgin themselves don't say it.....yet.

I suspect that the editorial for the Wednesday Savers Friend update is done on the Tuesday afternoon and so this came too late even for their “stop press”.

They did have a section stating that the Cynergy rate is “paying the second-best rate in the chart” when it’s already down to 4th.

Oh that's good news about Virgin, I couldn't get Chase so was losing out on that rate and I'm already with Virgin and have some money in that savings account, so this is a win win. Very good news this morning!

Not that I can login at the moment but is the interest rate quoted anywhere when logged in? Still says 1% on the website.

Me too, about the VM app being slow.

I was fine logging in at 7:00 am but now it won’t open. This also means that I cannot authorise my online VM login.
