Cynergy must look at this thread!

They have just raised their rate to 1.32%

As always, a new account will have to be opened with them to get the new rate.
Cynergy pays interest annually, which is a deal breaker for some.

Cynergy have brought out so many new accounts in recent months, I receive interest every few weeks when I upgrade to their latest account, although for me interest once a year wouldn't be an issue.

Same here although I kept the old one open with a couple of quid in it so I didn't have to set up a new payee from my nominated account.

For the first time I see they have changed the number sequence of the account number.

Normally the number is just one higher than last time, but not this time.

Tried to open one online at 6.45pm but got an error message just saying "Something went wrong" at the end of the process. Immediately, I then got an email saying the account was open, but that I needed to log on to see the details. I logged back in and the new account was not visible.

I called them and the CSA could see the account had opened but confirmed that she could only see it on some sort of in-house system and offered to put a report in to fix it. CSA said wait for email to confirm it was "fixed". So I'm waiting to see it online and transfer the funds from the 1.2% EA  to the new 1.32% EA. The CSA declined to do the transfer for me  :(
