    Can't get my head round.
A post here says Virgin M is at 1.56% as per moneyfacts.
Virgin M site says it is at 1.0%
As far as I can see without spending a lot of time: Moneyfacts front page says best instant rate is 1.56% but nothing about who has this rate and when you click on see more the top account is Ford Money at 1.3%. sorted by top AER
So how do you navigate in moneyfacts to find out who it is (VM presumably); they say; has the top at 1.56%.
Never used moneyfacts before but it for me navigation there is not straight forward.

Looks like they haven't updated what is displayed on their website, but it is on the Clydesdale Bank site (which is just another of their brands):

    https://secure.cbonline.co.uk/personal/current-accounts/virgin-money/

1.56% AER  (1.55% gross per annum variable) on any balances above £25,000, Interest paid quarterly.

Seems badly worded. The previous rate (and the one still displayed on the 'View our account' link) is
    • 1.00%
    • AER1 (1.00% gross1 per annum variable) on savings balances up to £25,000, and 0.50% on any balances above £25,000. Interest paid quarterly.

On any balances above £25k ?  Wasn't the higher rate previously only on balances up to £25K ?

Edit: Moneyfacts seem to be showing different info to the CB site:
    1.55% paid at £1,
0.75% paid at £25001 on portion of balance

Yes, that is correct.  Very confusing.

So what's the interest rate below 25k?

Also is that 1.56% on the whole amount if it's above 25k or only on the extra?
