I withdrew all my money from Santander and TSB and bought Premium Bonds, enough to win, on average, 1 prize per month. First draw was today, and I won £25. Much better than the interest I was getting.
Would you like to say how much you put into the Premium Bonds?
An individual bond has a 1 in 34,500 chance of winning a prize in any given draw, so a holding of £34,500 should average one prize per month....
I've got 50k holding and have won nothing for the 2 months I've had them for....

But it's a random draw entirely dependent on luck, so the word 'average' is critical when considering returns, where most will naturally be either above or below the average - in your case it's a 5.5% chance of two consecutive blanks from a £50K holding, but the average would be three prizes over two months (and plenty will win more).

I looked at the odds and bought 35,000. I had 20000 with Santander giving £5 a month interest (It was £50 a month when I first started with them) and I had saved the rest during lockdown with a TSB ISA which gave me £7.39 interest over the year.

Looking for more interest again I thought to go for UBL UK todays best 2 year fixed. There web page says they now have internet banking. Tried to register and after numerous attempts failed decided it was their website.
Thought I might get a reply from them by posting on Trustpilot. Went there and and saw the reviews - Oh boy am I glad I never got to invest.
So if you are thinking of UBL UK just have a look at Trustpilot.

Same for most banks on TP - look at Nat West reviews for about the worst.

There will be better threads than this Savings one where you can get advice.
But for starters, I'd say read the MSE guide to pensions to ensure you're getting the most out of your employer's pension scheme: https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/savings/auto-enrolment/
Beyond that, read the MSE guide to Stocks and Shares ISAs: https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/savings/stocks-shares-isas/
