Apparently, if you close your Marcus account, for some weird reason you cannot get another one in the future. I have kept mine with £1 in it.

Where do you get 0.6 / 0.78% from  Is it worth moving for a few pence more each year?

It's a few extra pounds, not pence. 14, in fact on £5,000.

Think 'also-ran' account in terms of 'top' easy access accounts... It's still running, so...
  • I took out a NATWEST Savings Builder in February @ 0.75%, but statements since then show 0.25% interest rate from 13/2. Did I miss something and they slashed the interest rate after a few days after applying? No emails nothing.

According to the website it is a variable rate (so can change).  According to their website it is currently paying 0.25%

I withdrew all my money from Santander and TSB and bought Premium Bonds, enough to win, on average, 1 prize per month. First draw was today, and I won £25. Much better than the interest I was getting.

Would you like to say how much you put into the Premium Bonds?

An individual bond has a 1 in 34,500 chance of winning a prize in any given draw, so a holding of £34,500 should average one prize per month....
