Beehive Money Limited Issue Easy Access 5.10%

    Min. £1k - Interest Yearly

    Source: Money Facts

I've opened this new 5.1% account on the Beehive app but it does not seem possible to transfer the balance from my existing 4.9% Bonus Saver. Maybe I shall have to send the money to my bank account and then redeposit it, unless anyone knows a way around this?

EDIT: Discovered that you request closure of the 4.9% Bonus Saver first. It then gives the option of transferring to the new 5.1% Limited Issue Easy Access.

Maybe. You should check it (DYOR) if it's important to you.

I contacted Beehive and was told that if I closed the Bonus saver I would only get 2.65% on the balance - I have the minimum balance of £1000 there

I don't think that's correct - I wasn't aware of any minimum account term when I held an earlier issue, and received the expected amount of interest on closure. It would be a strange penalty that would make it more restrictive than a notice account but less than a fixed term account.

I've had to reinstall the app as it was frozen every time I opened it. I can now close it online so I'm going to do it anyway. I wish there wasn't the minimum balance there and in the easy access account as I just want the account as a backup account. I have the Santander 5.2 % where most of my money is going that I don't want tied up
