Well, there is at least two happy people who transferred their old ISA to their new one .... you and RosieRooBearliam_978 said:Bobblehat said:
As above have said... easy online .... log on, open new one, go to newly opened ISA (which is classed as inactive), transfer all of older ISA into new ISA, older ISA gets closed and any interest goes over with the capital to the new ISA, new ISA then becomes active. Took me about 5mins including screen dumps etc for my recordsliam_978 said:I opened the 4.3% Coventry ISA last month and deposited 20,000. Is it possible to transfer it to the new 4.9%?
Thanks to you and the others that replied. I've just transferred it. First time I've transferred an ISA

It’s a Loyalty product and is no longer available 5.2% on up to 20k, drops to 4.7 from 20,000.01 and above.Cosmic_Life said:
I checked could not see a YBS ISA at 5.2% so must be an account thats NLAhappybagger said:
Presume that's the loyalty one that the rate drops below 20k, and becomes a lower rate after a year?wiseonesomeofthetime said:
My YBS ISA is at 5.20% 🤷♂️Cosmic_Life said:
Just did this takes 5mins, to open and transfer. Now off to transfer my ISA from YBS who seem to be lagging way behind. Seems to take a lot longer with external transfersliam_978 said:I opened the 4.3% Coventry ISA last month and deposited 20,000. Is it possible to transfer it to the new 4.9%?1 -

I disagree, it works perfectly online, no need to fill out an internal transfer form. I’ve done exactly what bobblehat and liam_978 have done. When you open the new 4.9% isa at the end of the form it asks if you would like to make an internal transfer from another Coventry ISA. You then just fill in which ISA you would like to transfer from and which ISA you would like the funds to go to. The funds are then transferred immediately to the new ISA and the old ISA is closed, job done 😊.friolento said:liam_978 said:Bobblehat said:

Thanks to you and the others that replied. I've just transferred it. First time I've transferred an ISAThis doesn't sound right. It's not how you transfer an ISA internally in Coventry. You need to fill in an internal ISA transfer form: https://www.coventrybuildingsociety.co.uk/content/dam/cbs/member/pdfs/useful-forms/isa-internal-transfer-request.pdfThis subject is better discussed on the ISA sub-forum rather than in the easy access thread.I think you should call the Coventry in the morning.
OK, I didn't know there isn't an option for an internal transfer in that application form as I had not seen it mentioned before. If that is the case, all seems in order.
