I don't have ISAs My pension and savings don't put me in that category. YET

I'm a widower, retired to at 82 years old and like an easy life, no stress no hassle, I drive and go where and when I want do what I want

I could save £2 a week or maybe more by shopping at different supermarkets, I use Tesco only,  I know exactly where everything I want is, Aldi, M&S, B and M are across the road but I stick to Tesco it's easier

I Know at 82 there can't be that many years left to run although I'm quite fit, I know if things progress roughly as they are now my funds will get me through and if they don't they don't,  I won't worry about it

So your main point is that you could gain more than £104 a year by shopping around at different supermarkets, but the effort doesn't seem worth it to you for an easy life? Yet you are happy to make £200 on a CA switch?

If the only gain I made in a year was £104, I might be persuaded to think like you and not bother. Fortunately it isn't the only gain I make during the year ... far from it ... so obviously I do think it's worth my time and effort. In fact if I took your way of thinking, I probably wouldn't bother to read the material on this forum!!

I'm happy that you think differently to me, I hope that you might consider that it's OK for me to be happy with the way I think too!  :)

The two ISA switches I did over the last fortnight were firstly from 4.35% to 4.70%, then switching back to Coventry when they launched their 4.90% ISA the other day. The annual gain in interest isn't insignificant, and it's better in my back pocket than the banks'. And given it's so easy these days to fill in the form online and literally took me a minute each time to type in the account number and sort code, yes it was worth my time, especially as both transfers completed the next day. If it was still like the old days involving cheques and snail mail and a much longer process, it would feel more of a chore. But it's not so it doesn't.

I opened the 4.3% Coventry ISA last month and deposited 20,000. Is it possible to transfer it to the new 4.9%?
Just did this takes 5mins, to open and transfer.  Now off to transfer my ISA from YBS who seem to be lagging way behind.  Seems to take a lot longer with external transfers

My YBS ISA is at 5.20% 🤷‍♂️
But only good at that rate up to £20K, then it's 4.70% so anything else and you could transfer it to Coventry at 4.90%.
    Only £20k in there 😁

Further to my earlier message about logging into Coventry, the issue seems to have been resolved.

Incidentally, I've now transferred my ISA twice in the last two weeks (the most recent one to Coventry) and in both cases the transfer completed the next day, so I'm pleased how quick the process now is. One reason why I'd only pick providers that use the electronic BACS service.
Blimey, one of mine took a month! All that lost interest.
I rarely switch unless it's a big difference in % interest so I would be interested to know how much difference financially all this switching makes ?
An extra £104 approx for me over the next year, that's the difference between not switching and switching. Assuming I don't switch again, don't withdraw any money and that the old and new ISA's stay at the same rates they are at present. For me it was just worth it!
LOL £2 a week and only if you don't switch again, wouldn't be worth the effort as far as I'm concerned

I don't switch my savings unless it's a good jump but I do switch current accounts for incentives

£1,700 soon to be £1,900 in less than a year

I think an EA switch for £104 is less than half the effort and less impact to your credit score.  So for me EA switching is much better value for money.
