If only they all had the balls to do that, there would be not much left of the Tories and Labour
They would have to call an election.
Most of the people in the remainer party would lose their seats.
Life would carry on as usual.

If the remainers in parliament manage to stop brexit, the main parties will take a beating at the next election and UKIP will probably become the third biggest party in parliament. Brexit will never end until it happens
Changing the world, one sarcastic comment at a time.

    Exactly.

In 2010 election, UKIP indeed got 3rd highest number of votes - more than Lib Dem + SNP combined. They didn't get seats due to FPTP system.

However, now the trend shows, it is no longer fight between Labour vs Conservative but between Brexit and anti-Brexit. So, this time UKIP (or whatever its new recarnation be) would do far better.

Whether you are Leaver or Remoaner, there is no denying that Brexit is driving some real changes (whether good or bad that is relative to individual preference).

Agreed. However if we let the Brexiteers succeed and get Brexit, UKIP will cease to exist, the far right will become uneletectable and we'll end off back in the EU within a decade.

    Nothing wrong in that.

We can always have another referendum asking whether to re-join EU.

But that should take place few years after leaving EU and not as a mechanism to prevent exit from EU now.

  • Oh God, you've just made me realise we are entering a new age where the 2 main electoral forces will be this morally entitled Independent Group and the shameless self-enrichment of Nigel's The Brexit Party.

To join what though. While there's a little in common at the current time. Longer term this independent group will fade into insignificance. Change has to come from within. Blair created Nu-Labour. The factions never went away though.

I don't know much about this man other than what's on the wiki page, that he looks improbably youthful for 71, and has been thrown out for a 2012 tweet criticising Israel for "ruthless murdering."
