UKCPS & DRP - should I go to court (and win)

It may be 'dodgy ground', but there's 6 years of potential grief awaiting the OP (and uncertainty as to whether legal proceedings will be dropping through the letterbox in the forthcoming 72 months) if the 'offer' is missed.
I'm not saying it's great, but the OP has a time-limited choice to make in the next 7 days, it's his money, his life - none of us will have to handle the fall out - long after the rant is all over.
The 7 days ..... cheque in post confirmed by email. Agreed within 7 days
As far as what they can do within 6 years ???? Let's see what they will do now.0 -
The choice is now with the OP. I believe we should be providing advice that is always in the better interests of the OP. Suggesting strategies that, should they go wrong, and no one but the OP picks up the pieces, be accompanied by caveats about the possibilities/options if they do go wrong. It's the OP's money after all.
Perhaps the OP can let us know how he proceeds and what outcome results. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Of course you are right.
But tell me, if you were given an offer of £15 yet you knew they had kept £5.60 of your money ? would you pay the £15 ??0 -

Good afternoon,
We have looked into the Parking Charge Notice reference ******* and can see that the vehicle registration has been inputted incorrectly.
However on this occasion we can offer a £15 cancellation fee if paid within 7 days.
Payments can be made by contacting our office on 0333 023 0121.
Please in future ensure details are correctly entered in order to ensure you do not receive any further Parking Charge Notices.
Kind regards
UKCPS Ltd.
I wouldn't pay them, but that's because I think they are scum.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Entirely hypothetical as they are never going to catch me, even when I'm in the UK. And I'm bombproof in SA.Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I'm not here to answer your entirely hypothetical question, as I said, it's never going to be something I'm ever going to have to deal with. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. Hello guys,
This will be my final update on this (i hope). So let me start by saying thank you again for everyone who assisted me.
This may be disappointing to some but I buckled today and called to make the £15 cancellation fee payment. Whilst I know I probably would have had a strong case had this in fact made it to court, I honestly just don't have the time or strength for it.
Good luck to anyone fighting these awful companies. I really hope they are taken down once and for all soon!0
