Yes it might have the same name, but location code?

Have you never seen threads here with two car parks next to each other, both called Money Park or whatever, but one being Council and one private, with different location codes and misleading boundaries? We have.

And we see shedloads of cases where the Pay By Phone data uploads your last used VRN, assuming you are driving the same car, when in fact you are not.

Or people who input the wrong car out of the 2 in the family, or a transposition of digits from the numberplate/typo, etc.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

    Good Morning,

After completing an online form on Debt Recovery Plus Ltd's website that included supporting evidence of me using Tap2Park to pay for my parking. I received a letter stating that the time for Appeal has now passed however to resolve this matter they will explain the following:

The PCN still stands as the terms and conditions for the car park state a valid ticket needs to be displayed and there wasn't one. Next steps pay £160 by 22/02/19.

I feel like I am going insane. HOW can I display a ticket when I used an online platform to pay for my parking?

Can anyone offer any advice on this. Will the judge agree with DRP over no ticket on display. Why would this service even be on offer if it doesn't produce a ticket?

Why on earth are you dealing with DRP, they are simply morons who just want money ?????

Your dealings can only be with the PPC .... DRP don't even come into this and a judge would not get involved as DRP will not be in court

YOU DO NOT OWE £160 AND YOU DO NOT PAY DRP

    DO YOU UNDERSTAND THAT ?????

Contacting DRP is a waste of time, you only ever get template replies!
  • As above. DRP are a debt recovery agent acting on an unpaid basis whose sole function is to recover payment from you, so they get paid. They are most unlikely to consider your evidence.

Your best approach is to send proof of payment to the parking company and suggest that they abandon this and that in light of the proof of payment their ongoing and threatening communications may amount to harassment. (I use the term may advisedly. Keep your powder dry for court in this. Dig the bear trap and see if they fall in).

Naturally you should ensure (not to teach mother to suck eggs) that you definitely paid at the correct machine. This forum has a number of forumites who've made that error before. It can be easily done.
  • Thank you for your replies. I did try contacting UKCPS first but they said that because it is now with DRP they can't do anything. I contacted UKCPS by phone. Would you advise me sending a letter / email with the proof instead.

I am even annoyed having to pay for proof of postage for something I shouldn't even need to be disputing.

Also, I know I paid at the right machine as I moved from one car park to another because the other one didn't offer a pay online service. The location on the receipt and charge are the same.

You are wasting your time with UKCPS! you should not be contacting Parking Companies by phone unless you know what you are doing

However you can email office@ukcps.net should you so wish.....

They will most likely ignore you, if that is the case then stop thinking about this....

You are very confused about all of this

UKCPS v DRP are sending you on a merry-go-round as they think you are a mug.

You do not pay for proof of posting, you simply ask for a free receipt from the post office counter

DO WHAT Johnersh says and do not accept the merry-go-round rubbish ......

Proof of posting certificate is free from any main (and some sub-) post offices.
  • Yes I am very confused and stressed over this. I have followed the advice from this morning. I have contacted UKCPS directly and provided my evidence. I will have no further communication with DRP.

    Thank you.
