Symbio Energy feedback

I don't think mse would recommend lamb, as it goes against their cheap energy club.
Be careful if you switch now symbio will probably charge you the early termination charges assuming lamb switched you to a fixed rate tariff. That's 50 quid for dual fuel!
Blondell did you actually establish what your eac should be before calling symbio or did you just call them saying the amount was too high?0 -
More Symbio desperation - concocting their own long-winded diatribe as a 5 star TP review:
"Really cross about people complaining…Really cross about people complaining on this website about this company...
I have said in previous reviews that I am a serial ‘switcher’ and this company is at least 30% cheaper than any nearest rival in my area .. East Midlands (not the outer Hebrides) .. so what is there to complain about ...??
.. because of the Smart Meter rollout debacle by this government... the installation of now possibly tens of thousands of redundant Mk1 Smart meters out there, there are literally a majority of suppliers unable to read these at the moment.. not just Symbio...
.. with regard to unrefunded ‘credit’ .. when ‘leaving’ a provider I have seen lengthy delays in this process many times.. and even longer delays occurring if your account is with a failed company and is then allocated to some other provider by Ofgem (usually being put on to a higher tariff) .. taking ages to eventually know where you stand with your electricity account before then having to move on again because there are much better deals out there than you have been left with by the Ofgem allocation !!
.. what are people doing to involve so much of there lives having to deal with their provider..
you consume electricity (hopefully keeping an eye yourself on consumption so no ‘nasty’ surprises).. and then you pay for it at the tarrif agreed with your provider.. “Simples” !
.. like Symbio I think say on their website .. a lot of the problems creating high costs for electricity providers is chasing indebtedness..
Symbio’s perfect answer to this would seem to be that you pay a little .. maybe 6 weeks in my estimation upfront (and this is no different to circumstances with other providers .. you may well be in ‘credit’ with any other provider at varying stages of your account with them by equivalent amounts but may not realise) and then on your next monthly statement having provided them with your actual usage for the month your account is reconciled and you go forward .. again effectively paying in advance admittedly.. (I don’t know Symbio’s business model but they are probably getting a good deal themselves by paying in advance for electricity from the generators of the electricity ??)..
.. the benefit to Symbio is that they are never chasing debt ...
You are never in debt ..
and to great benefit to yourself you are receiving the same electricity provided by all providers at a massive 30% less cost..
I certainly don’t want to be paying £750 a year when I can be paying £525 with Symbio ..
Sorry, rant over ..I am more than happy to have found Symbio and wish them all the best and hope we can all continue to receive great cheap electricity .. (sustainable too !)"
30%!!!!! - I don't think so. PURE DESPERATION!!!I'd rather be a disappointed optimist than a self-satisfied pessimist0 -
How do you know that was written by symbio?
It might just be one of the few completely delighted customers.0 -

As a matter of interest I just went on LAMB to see if they are still sending customers to Symbio. Their recommendation was Green - but at a price of over £200pa (c.25% of my pa spend) more than my current fixed deal!! And which, if they are still dealing with Sinbio, is presumably still cheaper than they (SE) are!I'd rather be a disappointed optimist than a self-satisfied pessimist0 -

Although it's a bit of a rant I'd say it's pretty obvious that it was written by someone with a good basic command of the English language, and therefore does not resemble anything I've seen that has been written by an employee of Symbio.1

According to that review, Symbio never chase debt.... I wonder if customers could exploit this?0
