Symbio Energy feedback

  • Never been with Symbio and I never will do because of the things I have read in the forum. If there weren't any posts here about issues people have with Symbio then there wouldn't anything to post in this thread, therefore not warning any potential customers of the issues they could face joining Symbio.

The continues posting from people having issues is there as a reminder that things haven't gotten better and Symbio are trying to deflect any criticism against them to their customers. If Symbio stopped acting in such a pathetic manner to their customers and instead try to fix the issues, then there may not be as many posts about them.

@devondiver Ofgem threatened them with not being to take on new customers because of late payments (Symbio has since called this action racist towards them...  :|) - However they were fined £100k instead and the matter has since been closed (for now)

Yet again, more posts slagging them off.  Clogging up the forum with too many posts.  LEAVE the company for goodness sake.  They want closing and I am sick of hearing you are only with this for cost reasons.  They are rubbish, end of.
Mm. Oh Dear, Silly me! There was I thinking that this was the Symbio Energy Feedback Forum? where existing customers and others  could discuss matters.

I assume you are an Ex customer with possibly a big chip on your shoulder regards Symbio?

Then fine no problem you are entitled to post and put your opinions / views forward. Hopefully in a more sensible and civilised manner?

But please do not degenerate others here, for posting their experiences or opinions.

Suggest that if you are that "sick of hearing" others comments  then ignore the thread?

But it is open to anyone, so do feel free to post sensibly about your experiences with Symbio.

But perhaps please, not your opinions about other posters comments / contributions?

But we are at 250 odd pages, dominated by 3 or 4 people.  The supplier is crap.  They don't deserve a supply licenece and they certainly don't deserve 250 forum pages.

But as the poster above your post  has pointed out. People would not actually know how bad they are without the 255 pages?

I read that you were sick of hearing about Symbio? Perhaps as suggested for your blood pressure just ignore this thread were people actually discuss Symbio?  >:)

I can only say that after five and a half weeks I have still had no problem with them other than a rather confusing bill, but having read a lot of this thread I was prepared for it and met the challenge head on. I did not let it get the better of me.  They even managed to pass on my opening readings to Scottish Power who I was with for a short time before (I'm ex-YE) and SP sent my closing bill with the correct figures within ten days. I had only given these to Symbio. I see from the YE thread that other, larger companies have not been so efficient at doing this.

At this point I remain a satisfied customer. :D

Same here. Ex YE customer then transferred to SP. I echo your experience with symbio so far and will stay as long as they’re the cheapest / no major issues arise!

Sounds like you are referring to last year's debacle rather than this:
    https://selectra.co.uk/energy/news/policy/symbio-energy-ofgem-ban

New customer ban for Symbio Energy & others

"Five suppliers have been given a final order by the watchdog.

The deployment of one of Ofgem’s most deadly weapons means the companies are prohibited from acquiring new customers until they toe the line.

The five suppliers now cut adrift on the rough seas of the competitive energy market are:

    • Daligas Limited
    • Enstroga Ltd
    • Entice Energy Supply Limited
    • Euston Energy Ltd (trading as Northumbria Energy)
    • Symbio Energy Limited       Updated on19/01/2021"                                                                                                                                                                                                               Or is this old/fake news?

Received their first “renewal email” as my 10p/kWh fix is ending soon. A very cheeky offer of 16p/kWh, despite most of their tariffs being around the 13p mark. Very sneaky.

I note on their reasons to stay.....

    • Being a technologically friendly company, we offer Smart Meters that is convenient, and it helps in monitoring your monthly electricity usage and billing.

    • We have improved our customer experience by introducing the secure system of two fact authentication with the One-Time Password (OTP) feature.

Cant say I’ve seen either of these. In fact they deleted any mention of smart meters in their faqs, they were supposed to be offer in the second half of 2020 according to them.

Let’s see what happens when I try to switch.

Appreciate what you say but I can only go by experience with them and will continue to post my experiences with them. Good or bad.
