How do you know that was written by symbio?
It might just be one of the few completely delighted customers.
I have tried posting reviews on TP site regarding Symbio but everyone has been withdrawn because their software does not believe I am a genuine customer. I have even sent evidence to support me being a customer but the answer is still no. Even the more positive reviews received the same fate.
Strange. I had no trouble at all. Could be doing something wrong?
Not sure what I am doing wrong. All my other reviews are accepted it is only Symbio the issue is with.

I guess they must know all the tricks.  :)

I emailed Symbio about the over estimated bills and yesterday they phoned me. They advised it is reviewed every three months and the eac is in line with my usage. When they are refunding every month about £20 - £25 this is utter rubbish. They had to bring the pandemic into it and this is another reason.  However the advisor informed me in the second part of this year they will be installing a smart meter so the need for monthly reads will be no more. Not on my watch they won't!

They wanted to put my EAC up from 5000 to 5500 "because of the pandemic".  But when I point out that my last 12 months' consumption - during the pandemic- has been 4300, they just don't have an answer, they go off to talk to a colleague.  They would rather ignore actual real-life data for some imaginary "industry" recommendation.  They did eventually agree to change it to 4700, which was what they said they would do back in December.  It only took 4 months to get them to slightly lower the EAC, whilst ignoring 18 months of consumption data!!

You actually had a phone call from Symbio? That is good. In my experience customer service is nil.  :s

Last time I had contact with Symbio was when my meter went over the 99999 mark and they would not accept my readings and at the same time decided to put a £25 exit fee on my new variable tariff.

I complained. No reply to Emails. No answer to phone calls. Sent posted letter marked COMPLAINT in RED threatening to stop DD and pay by cheque.  Reply very fast problem resolved.

My EAC is 11760kWh.  My actual is 6700kWh. Mine appears to be never reviewed.

Symbio installing smart meters? They must be getting forced to? But if anyone tries here probably will not work? as we are pretty isolated.

I did point out I give them a reading every month and a picture of the meter. Ok they do adjust the next month only to increase the estimates. So they are given a credit of unused units only to over estimate again. Fortunately my gas supplier does not adopt the same insane policy.

Yet again, more posts slagging them off.  Clogging up the forum with too many posts.  LEAVE the company for goodness sake.  They want closing and I am sick of hearing you are only with this for cost reasons.  They are rubbish, end of.

Well said! Some people just don't get it. These guys are DESPERATE for cash! They have been prevented from signing up new customers by Ofgem since January (unless this has been lifted?). The only way to get through to them is to cancel payments and hit them with the Ombudsman stick - then they respond instantly - but with more fawning and playing for time - but at least then you know the wheels are turning. Stop kidding yourselves that you are in anything like a symbiotic relationship. It's parasitism - plain and simple! And, in my experience, getting a better deal elsewhere is not difficult. Don't believe their propaganda.

Mm. Oh Dear, Silly me! There was I thinking that this was the Symbio Energy Feedback Forum? where existing customers and others  could discuss matters.

I assume you are an Ex customer with possibly a big chip on your shoulder regards Symbio?

Then fine no problem you are entitled to post and put your opinions / views forward. Hopefully in a more sensible and civilised manner?

But please do not degenerate others here, for posting their experiences or opinions.

Suggest that if you are that "sick of hearing" others comments  then ignore the thread?

But it is open to anyone, so do feel free to post sensibly about your experiences with Symbio.

But perhaps please, not your opinions about other posters comments / contributions?
