Symbio Energy feedback

Cheques are issued to competition winners as well, I've had a few in the past which I have had to cash in at the Post Office.0

I wonder if symbio was still in business (yes I know complete fantasy and part of the problem) how many people would have tolerated their business practices now for the cheap unit rates……11p/kWh…..a distant memory now!2

Being someone that kept on top of things, monthly reads and knowing our yearly usage it was fine.
Didn't really have an issue with them. Just as expected as a new small energy supplier.0 -

Everthing OK here. 3 DD taken and 3 bills provided bia meter readings that I gave them. Suggest you get hold of them pronto.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0 -
Reading about Symbio rubbish billing system my meter rolled over through zero. The bill (estimate) I got in July for August was right but the bill I got in September was miscalculated and the August payment was not taken in account hence September bill was twice the norm. I did the spreadsheet calc from start to final bill and came out with £28 credit. My final bill due to this error from Symbio was £98 debit.
It seemed their estimate software could calculate right but the reconciliation calcs following month couldn’t work out going from 99031 KWH through 0 to 1037 KWH so previous month payment was zero money zero days (see below) and so added in to September. The -0.97 must be some way they try to work around the roll over.
Consumption calculation based on estimated bill reads to date
Current Date Current Reading Read Type Prev. Date Prev. Reading Consumed Unit Read Type Days
31/08/21 1037.91 E 31/07/21 -0.97 0.00 E 0
30/07/21 -0.97 E 30/06/21 99031.53 967.50 E 31
They have been chasing me since but I refuse to pay for something I haven’t had. I sent the calculations and bills pin pointing the error to Symbio and AZETS but Symbio are in denial. AZETS don’t respond.
So if you work out you are in credit and Symbio disagree check for meter roll over or possibly Smart meter installation where readings start again at zero.

In the same situation for my mum's transfer (just commented to the effect on another thread) - so you're not the only one...though my mum did receive her credit from Symbio into the account quite soon after the transfer...

No bills as yet after 5 direct debits since being moved from Symbio. They (E.on) still quote me as being in credit when I know I'm not - the total credit they state being those DD added plus the credit refund from Symbio whn I know I actually owe them £103.55 as of this precise minute lol.I keep meaning to add credit to my account to mirror my actual use that I keep diligently on a spreadsheet but I see no rush. They have my monthly readings so we both know exactly where my account stands in reality.0 -
EON Next have been OK as Solar for us Symbio customers.
I mean they have offered some cracking fixes as well before April this year so it could have been worse we could have got British Gas or EDF0
