Quick Mobile Fix -- are they scammers?

Hi all,
I've had similar awful behavior with Quick Fix Mobile - it appears they willfully damaged my phone so that they could void its warranty and thereby avoid obligations to repair it.
TO ALL WHO HAVE A GRIEVANCE -- Please pursue through the following method -- FILE A COMPLAINT with REDBRIDGE COUNCIL'S TRADING STANDARDS - If enough unhappy customers contact them, it will initiate a second investigation (one already took place last year, but they evaded serious consequences). The Ilford Recorder already wrote three stories on Quick Fix Mobiles poor practices and now suggest unhappy customers report them to trading standards so that that serious action ca be taken.
This is the Redbridge Trading Standards website: https://www.redbridge.gov.uk/business/trading-standards/trading-standards-contact-us/
However, to file a complaint the website advises you to go via the Citizen Advice Bureau first. You can also email your complaint to the Citizen Advice Bureau here, it takes less than 5 minutes - https://ssl.datamotion.com/form.aspx?co=3438&frm=general&to=flare.fromforms
Please make it very clear in your message that you wish the complaint to be referred on to Redbridge Trading Standards. If enough of us do this - QMF will be put out of action.
It will make you feel better to take action. Good luck.

I ordered a phone from the website. It took 4 weeks and several emails to get it delivered. The phone was faulty, so I returned it. I was promised a refund within 14 days. After 14 days I emailed again and was told that the refund would take another six weeks. I (stupidly) waited six weeks and then emailed again. I was told that the refund would take another four weeks...... It seems as though this happens to a lot of people, for instance there is a Facebook group with 1200 members devoted entirely to problems with Quick Mobile Fix (Google 'Quick Mobile Fix-Customer Experiences and Issues'). I've contacted my credit card provider to claim a refund from them. I've also reported Quick Mobile Fix using the police Action Fraud service, Citizens Advice and the Insolvency Service. I'd recommend other people with similar problems do the same.

If you've had problems with Quick Mobile Fix, please consider joining the Quick Mobile Fix-Customer Experiences and Issues Facebook group (Google 'Facebook Quick Mobile Fix-Customer Experiences and Issues')

I ordered an iPad in MARCH. Delays “due to Covid” seemed reasonable. Waited patiently. Eventually told in JUNE that they couldn’t provide the item and offered me a refund. It’s now end AUGUST and still awaiting said refund following excuse after excuse and “assurance” after “assurance” it would be paid as soon as possible. Now they are “assuring” me (with the same email response) that payment will be made mid SEPTEMBER! DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!

I;m glad I found this thread. Similar experience to all of above. Ordered and paid for phone beginning of Jan 2021 and nothing yet despite may polite enquiring emails as to the estimated delivery date. Just a load of excuses. I realise now. Oh dear, but its good to have found this thread.0

I too appear to have been a victim of Quick Mobile Fix promising a refund by a given date but then constantly moving the goalposts with the date.
While I agree with others about pursuing via your bank, filling in reviews and reporting to various organisations, I cannot recommend the Facebook group: Quick Mobile Fix-Customer Experiences and Issues. I asked a very specific question about whether anyone had any success seeking exemplary damages or damages for distress/inconvenience through the courts. I know that these are rare in English/Welsh courts but can be awarded in some circumstances, and posted this.Unfortunately, a moderator seemed to believe that these could never be claimed, which I corrected. He also believed that the Money Claim Online was an inferious cheap service. It is not: claims started this way have the same rules as CPR and can be allocated to any track, including small claims. I posted my experience of two cases using Money Claim online. Moreover, he accused me of answering my own question, even though I do not have any successes/failures to report about Quick Mobile Fix Ltd and so could not possibly answer the question. Unfortunately, in attempting to correct and clarify my question, the moderator became abusive and then later deleted my post.
I worry that this means that any false information will go uncorrected on the Facebook group, “Quick Mobile Fix-Customer Experiences and Issues”. In particular, note that claims via Money Claim Online are not immediately allocated to the small claims track and that strike-out applications can be heard before allocation and incur significant legal costs. For this reason, all legal claims must be well particularised e.g. mentioning the cause of action (breach of contract, but possibly fraud though the latter is not guaranteed to be winnable compared to a very clear breach of the terms and conditions.)

They were featured in one of the Daily Mail's consumer columns this week, perhaps that's the way for people to get a resolution?0
