Money Moral Dilemma: Should I miss my sister's wedding?

This week's MoneySaver who wants advice asks... She expects my gift to cost at least £100 but I can barely afford the wedding. I don't want to fall out but she's not listening and it's causing me a lot of stress. Unfortunately the MSE team can't always answer money moral dilemma questions as contributions are often emailed…

I would attend and give what I could afford - but well thought out. Not a toaster, just cos it costs a tenner

What a shame but I am struggling to believe that a bride EXPECTS gifts to cost at least £100. Honestly I have never heard anything like it

Weddings and deaths, really do bring out the worst in families.
