Screaming: I used to sing at mine. Nonsense songs: "what shall we do with the screaming baby" to the tune of "what shall we do with the drunken sailor " for example.
They would beg me to stop, and I would if they would. ;-)
Love it! :TIt's not difficult!

I am having an early night. Kids are asleep and DS is out.
Dgd is watching Dumbo and then going for a bath. Her Mum etc are popping up for the day on Friday, so tomorrow we will be shopping for lunch things, and possibly popping round to my Mums as my arm etc is much better today.
A day of rest as everyone was out for the day. I read my diary back and made pointers for this year and closed the chapter.
I will open a new chapter tomorrow when I get the chance.
Hope everyone had a good night last night and a positive day today.
I am a little subdued as my oldest friends Dad died of Huntingdons disease last night. Pause for thought and gratitude for our life seems to be where I am at.
He was a qentle hard working man when this disease took a hold and he faught for 19 years. Both his sons have it, as did his brothers, and it is a cruel way to have to live.
Makes me realise how lucky I am.

I am still undecided about the name for a new thread.
Not because the suggested one wasn't a good one, more because I am not sure there is going to be much sewing for a while. Either because I have lost my mojo but also because of having the time factor.
I am currently sitting in my bedroom listening to Charlie Landsborough on you tube, trying to shut out the noise of Four small children "playing " downstairs.
DS's GF is here with her children. DS had to have his car retrieved and dropped off here, it keeps immobilising it self. I had hoped that he would take it to a garage but the local one said he needs a ford specialist.
Already he is talking about a replacement car. He is dreaming if he thinks that I will give him any more money for cars. He had several cars in the last year alone.
I might just keep this thread going a bit longer as I think about what is actually next for me.
I realise we are in new beginnings but for me I am still rather in limbo with things. When school starts again, when Nursery starts for the wee one, and our case has been finalised maybe I will feel better about the direction I am going in.When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

Twin 1 and her family came to see Dgd, and we all went out for lunch at DS's place of work. It was a little fraught trying to keep the children quiet at the start but it wasn't too bad once the drinks and food came through. I was pleased that we fed 4 children and 5 adults for £96.00
That to me was good.
This evening has been quiet and I have managed to put my feet up and relax. The sniffles and sneezing and coughing from yesterday has thankfully slowed to nearly stopped so I was able to get through the day. Mind you I did have a hot toddy before I went to bed last night. So when the children bounded into my room at 6.15 I was feeling a lot better.
My brother rang from France to see how I was this evening, just as small child hit big brother with a toy truck and screaming high pitched in duo! What a crescendo that was!
Little brother is now big enough to hit back and his brother is on the receiving end. (I know it's no not good and I don't condone it, but I cannot help thinking -ha just deserts!)When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
I lost a post some how.
I suppose that it wasn't really important.
I am much better, and am going to do the food shopping before the children come back from their visit to their other family.
The cupboards are looking a bit random at the moment.
The post has brought the copy of the social reports, and unless the court goes against the findings then it looks like my position is definitely Carer indefinitely.

I am starting to get work calls and messages now that normality is returning to peoples lives.
I must make decisions about how much work etc I plan to do.
I am thinking of using my skills in other directions this year.
I want to develop new skills this year. Maybe use my cabin to study other mediums. To spark my Mojo. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
