One child awake at 12, another one , Dgd yet again sick atv4.45am from top bunk down to the floor! Which was actually a pile of clothes including school uniform. So that's the washing machine on full time this morning. I was just getting back to bed when smallest child woke up at 5am.
So I am glad I went to bed early!
I am just having a cuppa between jobs because I have put said child back to bed.
As I am expected to babysit for Biggest tonight I must pace myself.

DS went and babysat for Biggest for me.
I have spent 6 hours cleaning and sorting out Dgd's bedroom after this morning's episode.
I ache all over from dealing with her room, and then a disruptive evening with the others and having to keep putting the little one back into bed. As he is over 2 stone it hurts my back bending to get him into the bottom bunk with the bed guard on. Mind you as it doesn't go the whole length it doesn't stop him getting out and climbing on top of the storage box at the end of the bed.
I lost count of how many times I put him back this evening. But it was more than twenty and it was well after 9pm before the boys finally went to sleep.
I am going to try to sleep now, and hopefully we get passed 5?am

    Night x

Me neither. I have always needed more sleep than average in order to function, even when I was younger. When I was training, some of the other girls would party all night and then go straight onto an early shift; I could never do that.

Ss, I really hope that you managed to get some unbroken sleep last night.

We were up briefly just after 12 and then it was 6.15 this morning so that's quite good. Managed to keep the baby quiet in my room with a cartoon on my iPhone, and came down at 7.20.
It was 8 when the next one woke.
We had a slow lazy start then, but I didn't do any sewing. My extension lead started to get hot so I have removed it, and need to get the socket replaced. Also a new extension and it means that I cannot use the heater so I need to seek out the gas heater tomorrow when I go back into the workshop.
I had lunch off, my brother and Mum came again and we had lunch in the new pub in town. In and around the day I just kept washing going on.
I tidied up another small section in my room, and then went to babysit for Biggest's lot.
We had a good natter and are talking about next years holidays and what we want to save for before I came home.
So I have chilled out and now I am off to bed.

I agree, I have the utmost respect for savy sewing. I am exhausted reading about interupted sleep, looking after parents and children and trying to do some work to help others.
Most of us are happy to help out with our children and looking after grandchildren but theres a certain inbuilt factor that you can give them back. It's not like that for ss, they completely take over her day to day life. I commend you for all you do. It really cant be easy.

Small person actually slept until 5.10 this morning. Unfortunately outside noises woke me at 2.30 ( DS was still not home), and then at 4am nature called. :(, DS was home then, but I don't know what time he got in.
So getting him up this morning was not easy.
Dgd did finally leave for school on time.

I am off for my shower now DS is up, he can have the children. I have a collection to make at 9.30
Then some work if I can followed by the children from Biggest's from 2.30
Not sure who and how many at the moment other than the baby, but as dgd2 was sick last night I may have her too.

Yesterday day was as usual not quite to plan, but I did collect 9 prepared baskets for the big kids and their partners. Then sorted out some work in my workshop, had yet another call from my brother to get out for Lunch, been spoilt this week for going to lunch. Dropped off to do my voting on the way back. Biggest was here with two children for me when I got back.
I used up pasta meals that we had leftover so it was easy to feed the five children, and then I made two beef casserole for myself and DS. Two because he doesn't like mushrooms and I do. So I also cheated with frozen mash, a new cheat for me.
Bedtime was rather exhausting as my two were we devils and played up like they used to do. Of course no real problem with the 14 month old.
In fact dgd1 and Dgd 2 finally got the boys settled singing nursery rhymes with them.
I fell asleep in front of the tv.
Woke up at 11 with the election on the TV about 11.30 and went to bed. Baby in my room woke briefly about 3 times, once around 12 for milk, the other times she settled with her musical owl.
Then my baby woke at 1 and 3.
Both up about 6 this morning.
I am just going to wake the others for school.

I have survived my busy babysitting schedule this week. 5 children over night twice this week. But as DS is not working today I have managed to step back and have a 3 hour sleep this afternoon.
I went shopping for the boys shoes and jumpers and Pjs yesterday when they were with their other nanny.
It was a expensive excursion as I bought new things for all of us in the end. Then went to a late lunch with Dgd, DS and his gf before the boys came home and biggest dropped off her two littlest ones.
We did Pizza for them as we didn't need to eat, and DS went to work and his gf stayed to help me put the children to bed. Making life a lot easier for me.
But it is still not something I want to do every day!
