Ss, I'm glad you have been able to take back some control over your workload. Sorry to hear that Gd is being sick, it certainly does need looking into (as it were _pale_ ).
    It's not difficult!

  • I'm so pleased you've given yourself a break from the workload Ss. I've a few pages of posts to catch up on but just wanted to mention it's worth considering if dgd could have Norovirus. Both that and flu are ramping up in this area and a number of schools and nurseries are closed.

If you don't think it's that worth looking again at possible school issues.

Hope everyone has a good day. On my way out so will catch up later.

If she has the NV symptoms don't take her to the Dr as it spreads like wild fire in waiting rooms etc. Bed and plenty of fluids and if needed a phone call to the surgery is the way to go. Hope she feels better soon.

I am not in a good place mentally today. I am restless, grumpy and certainly not suffering fools gladly today.
I have moved Saturdays appointment to Monday, then that's the last one booked in this side of Christmas.
I still have a Rail full of things to get through but finding it difficult to be motivated.

Ss, I'm sorry that you are feeling restless and irritable today :(

Another thing to consider with Gd, if she continues to get the odd day of vomiting and no other GI symptoms, is abdominal migraine/cyclical vomiting syndrome. It is very common for children/teenagers to get the other symptoms more than the actual headache.

Thanks, I have heard of that before. I will look into it.
I managed t Sew about £90 worth on Friday late afternoon and early evening.
Then I went to seemy Mum and Brother yesterday, we had a light lunch in the local pub. I did two more pairs of trousers that were collected.
Today I had a slow start, but the children have played nicely this afternoon and I have been reorganising the dumping ground in my bedroom and have put some pictures up on the wall. I have made a space for me to put in a comfy chair and a reading lamp. Moved a lot of sewing things outside to the workshop, and feel much better about the bedroom now.
The washing is on the usual permanent cycle of machine on, laundry hanging in the bathroom and a basket full waiting to be dried.
All in all not bad considering my moods etc.
I have missed a few days of my light and must try to gauge a time that works better for me.

Dinner is only sausage and chips tonight.

It sounds as if you have got a lot done Ss. I guess you must be rather short of storage space with 3 extra bodies in the house!

My choir sang down at the quay yesterday lunchtime. OH drove in case it was difficult to park, then we had lunch out afterwards. Egg and chips, one of my favourites since I was a child :)

I wish I could say that I got a sleep when he did but I was working by then.
I am very tired now though, so even sitting here in my new cosy corner of the bedroom is going to be cut short as I am going to sleep.
I have a doctors appointment for Dgd, 7th January. Spoken to school today as Dgd is struggling so although she had gone to school she was late. They are ringing me again tomorrow, and will refer Dgd for some in house counselling.
I walked down the town to post a parcel and popped into the charity shop, bought a bed throw to brighten up my chair at the moment. Then dropped in at the butcher and the bakery on my way back.
Did the last booked fitting, and then did a small amount of sewing. Took 5 items to the other Seamstress, as I have too many kids this coming week, and my two are poorly. Vapour rub to the rescue.
Went shopping for my big shop, but did splash out on two pairs of Pls, and Dgd was with me so we have ended up with a lot more random stuff in the shopping bags.
Good old fish fingers, potato wedges and baked beans for tea.
Now the little ones are asleep that's where this Granny is going.
