Unfortunately I don't have a magic wand, so I cannot conjure up the funds that easily. Luckily my 10% fund can be used to pay the rent tomorrow. I am lucky that I won't be spending next week so only DDs going out, and hope it will be sorted soon.

Maybe they had other more important cases to discuss it maybe as professionals were all together it was a convenient time maybe they had to make sure that everyone was up to speed on the twist and turns of the case or even god forbid a SW had been out on an emergency visit these people have better things to do than prolong their own working day or those of their clients as Mooloo says walk a mile in their shoes not many people wan't to do the job and from the scathing comments on here i can see why you never hear the good or the people helped just take a moment to think if you would want their job with the same constraints and life and death decisions and yes i do know what i am talking about
I worked in the NHS, on a tight appointment schedule, for more than 30 years. Yes, things could - and did - go wrong but I never forgot that, my life and death situations notwithstanding, people had busy lives and important things to do other than sit around and wait for me.
Mooloo, how is the cough today? It's not difficult!

The cough is improving thanks. I slept better, although I still hear the children. But poor DS didn't get much sleep last night.
Rang tax credit this morning and eventually got through. I was told it had stopped because I hadn't done my declaration, but actually they can see that it was done on the 24th July. The woman has investigated agreed that my exception forms had also been signed and returned so she was going to sort it out. She will call me tomorrow, and then it takes up to 72 hours for the computer to calculate everything etc so she will update me further on Monday. Apologies for the error on their behalf.
Once upon a time that would have phased me out and I would have felt it was a catastrophe but at least this time it hasn't. I will get it eventually.
My neighbour is struggling to put fence posts down the fence which is quite entertaining while I am sitting here in the cabin doing my work.
I have had two fittings this morning. I have shortened a pair of curtains, taken a dress up on the shoulders, repaired a duvet cover, shortened two pairs of trousers and taken a dress apart to remove its lining, it was all French seams so a bit of a long job.
I have brought my lunch outside to the cabin and I am sitting on my sofa with the doors open listening to next doors radio, and thought I would update.
Then I have a waistcoat that needs doing for tomorrow. When that's done I will relieve DS with the children and send him to the shop to remove the stuff for the tip. It is not open everyday. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Feeling happier that I sewed for the majority of the day. In the end I did £129 worth so not far off my old target.
The boys had a few quiet moments but the screaming continues when they are frustrated which goes straight through me. I hope keeping calm will eventually pay off and things will calm down.
DS is playing with his forge this evening and his friend has been cutting down the elder trees that are sprouting in the wrong place.
It's good to see him off outside doing something instead of watching TV or on the Xbox. I am concerned that his work seems to be getting less and less. He is supposed to be hearing about another one this week so I hope that they do call him tomorrow.

We're up!
Trying to get my lad to play quietly in the bedroom if he wakes up early, but at the moment it really is not working. So that's all but Dgd awake. She could sleep through a hurricane though.
Better night as Baby only woke up once in the night. Now all I need to do is get to bed earlier. Two days till my holidays and the shop still needs to be emptied. I cannot get it done before I go now. As if I am not there nobody knows what exactly I am keeping and where it's going and I cannot get DS there as one of us needs to be with the children. Biggest and her husband are in holiday. She rang yesterday that she's double booked herself next week having the boys for me and working somewhere 9 till 3, so she needs DS to help her, he's not thrilled as he is waiting on shifts with the new place.
I think she should look for alternative help or not do the work she's booked in because the children ( that includes hers) need someone on top of things and although I hate to say it DS struggles with his two so having 5 is not going to work.
Well that is her problem not mine.
Emptying the shop is mine. Luckily I have until the end of the month afterall but that really wasn't my plan. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Glad that you had a better night Mooloo, and that the cough seems to be easing. It is still an early start to the day though, no wonder you are tired! It's not difficult!

Day is not panning out as I wanted, no surprises there then.
Had to change the car hire and that means that I will no longer get the cash back from the original booking. I had the wrong collection time and the site wouldn't allow me to change it. I spent 30 minutes on hold before I could speak to a customer service representative.
I went to help Mum to wash her hair, she's been unwell all week, and we are a little worried about traveling on Sunday. Fingers crossed .
This afternoon I was supposed to be doing a fitting but that's cancelled and I missed a collection because I was late back and Dgd won't answer the front door.
DS has nodded off in my arm chair, the lad is watching Thomas the tank and the baby is asleep.
I need to get a suitcase out of the attic when they all wake up.
I could do with going to the shop to box up more stuff as well.
But again need someone able to answer the door etc and keep an eye on the lad, etc and I don't trust DS not to fall asleep again. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Just in case I don't get another chance to reply - wishing you, DGD and your Mum a wonderful holiday Mooloo.
I know easier said than done, but don't think of home if you can - everything will still be there when you get back.
Enjoy every minute. Hope your Mum will be OK too - it will do you all the world of good 😊🍷🍨🌝0 -
Been down to the shop to pack a few more boxes but I really could have done with someone with a little brawn to help me.When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0
