Hope that the last day at the shop is not too bittersweet.
When does the shop have to be cleared by?

When does the shop have to be cleared by?

End of the month. But I want the majority out by the weekend if not all of it, so I don't have to worry about it.

It was strange packing up the ground floor in the last hour. And closing the door and switching off the lights. I know that I will still be going in tomorrow but I will not be trading.
I brought work home to do, so I will go to work here in the morning for a while, then go to take stuff to Mums/tip/home as I can tomorrow afternoon. Correction this afternoon. I am awake as the baby woke about an hour ago and I have been coughing ever since.
Hopefully I will get back to sleep in a bit.
My energy club alert stuck when I was trying to do it this morning and then my battery went down so I still need to swap utilities.
I did a fitting about 10 and another just after 3.
I did the children's contact and had to wait over 30 minutes for the Mum who was late, that reduced the time for the food shopping etc and the time with Mum.
Mum has hurt her back, and I am just hoping that she will be able to travel at the weekend. I will be at least able to go to see her tomorrow if needed. I did her shopping and bought a couple of microwave meals, she calls them "poppety ping meals"!
Then I was back at work for the last hour for a fitting and packing. I managed to bank £480. The weeks takings. Which is terrible because I have not been able to work. Found an envelope with £60 in that a customer dropped and was able to return it to her as I knew where she lived, although I met her retracing her steps so was able to take the worried look off her face.
Back home in time to take Dgd to see the lion king at the cinema and that got me to take out my Dad's DVD remake of our life in Africa in the 60's, and show her that I had been lucky enough to live in such a wonderful place full of the animals we had just seen in the film. Once she got her head around the fact that I was the little girl skipping and dancing around singing at the waves by the sea in Mombasa and watching elephants lions leopards and hyena etc within feet of us, and being chased by warriors with spears. All on cini film converted with music rolling titles and my Dad narrating over it. I got slightly emotional hearing his voice for the first time since his death. The lights flickered off and back on and Dgd said that's grandad in the room, he draws energy from the light. Not sure where she got that idea from but I did feel him closer. (I expect that is because I could hear his voice).

Right I am going to try to get back to sleep now before anyone else wakes up.

Is your mum Welsh Mooloo? I have heard that they call the microwave 'poppety ping'.

    No she's Scottish.

But I think my brother named it that and then it stuck!

My day has gone by the wayside again. DS was taking kids to the soft play and then we had a social meeting that we didn't know about so I have ended up at soft play this morning and we are all hanging around at the council office waiting for an appointment that is now 40 minutes late starting. Kids have had their lunch and we have run out of juice. I gave the lad water and he is not impressed at all.
Baby is tired and should have really been having his nap now.
We're going to have to try to juggle childcare between being in a meeting. As biggest is on holiday.

You would think that Childrens SS would be more aware of the time for meetings! They must think the children have an on/off switch

Anyway hope the meeting went OK when you finally got in. XX

It was an hour and twenty minutes late starting. DS went in and I juggled the kids. That took another hour. By then they didn't bother updating me, just gave me the minutes from the previous session, asked/told me other granny has asked to have kids for contact, they arranged it while I was there and it went from Friday 2 hours to Saturday 3 hours. Started it was supervised then it's not.
I got my Solicitor fee back and some cash for last week and this week, so that was very helpful, but I lost earning opportunities so that kind of negates the positive! And means I have had another day I didn't get to the shop, I had 11 customers contact me and had to defer them or book them in later in the week. But I only managed to shorten two pairs of trousers when I had planned a full morning of work at home and an afternoon in the shop boxing up stock. By this evening I had a opening invite to a dress shop that was opening their second shop in a near by town so I went with my friend who has been with me this last year and she starts work with them on Thursday.
I got a free scarf that is coming with me on holiday and bought a reduced cardigan and a handbag, and through out a scruffy handbag when I got home.
I should also be ditching a scarf. As I promised myself I was going to stop bringing in stuff unless I took equal or more amounts out!

Let's hope tomorrow is not hijacked!

A bit like the NHS in many ways, perhaps. Appointments are planned into the daily schedule. Whether or not that schedule runs to time or not can be dictated by activity elsewhere in the case load, and if often outside the control of the service.
