Morning turtles. NSD for me yesterday 14/15 but may find it hard to go a whole day without coffee today as I'm soooo tired. In fact I may take some to work with me in my flask to save buying from the expensive machines. This week is moving house week fingers crossed (still waiting on contract from new landlord) but need to start sorting belongings and chucking some stuff that I no longer can cart around with me. I have a new plan to spend the summer potentially working in the canary islands (we get july and August off) so need to start planning for that! Hope everyone has a lovely day

  • Morning all :). NSDs at 11 for me, should be 12 today if I can avoid doing a top up shop. Plenty of food in and I have packed a salad for work so should be doable.

Mothernerd: glad your busy day was also productive. I do hope you get the help you need, both from the OT and your family. A monthly cleaner would be amazing if you could manage it.

Not much to report here, still plodding on. Grateful for fluffy house socks, warm hand knit socks for the commute, and of course coffee

    Hi All :D

Today is NSD #21. Probably my last NSD as I'm at the cinema tomorrow & shopping Thursday. I could do them both tomorrow but I've hit target already & this way is easier for me.
I've been keeping an eye on our heating bills, & Im on track to have knocked 35 pound off last months bill  We realised we were heating the house at silly times & this bill is much more sensible.

Today I am grateful for- my boy rubbing noses with me, morning cuddles & fluffy bedding. If I get any extra in my wage I might get my kids this fluffy bedding, its so good!!

Mothernerd sorry to see about Beloved. Fingers crossed for them!

Yesterday ended up being NSD 19 so I am still doing ok.

Frog eaten - boiler service booked for Friday - all the bills go out so it is a spend day anyway. Friday is February 1st.

Got texts from schools telling me that if they are closed due to the extremely heavy hysterically forecasted 5cm of snow, they will text me. I am sure the rest of Europe laughs at us and our obsession with 'weather as news'.

I really want to get rid of a last few frogs on the list, which will involve me being upside down in the shed looking for screws of a certain length, which will not be where I expect them to be (I am hoping for a pleasant surprise). Two more kinds of herbal tea I have necked that are no longer looking at me from the tea shelf. I am down to Redbush now. Blimey there are a lot of them.

Grateful for: hopefully being home at 4.30 after picking up DS1 from extra revision session, working central heating, hot water bottles, hot chocolate, lists that are getting smaller,

    Hi guys
I’m calling this months NSDs at 16/15 as tomorrow and Thursday both require spending. I would have liked more but as I’m car less at the moment I’ve bought odd bits when I’ve been passing certain shops.
Well done on all the NSDs guys, see you next month

Hi Mothernerd. Don't worry about Addison's Disease. I have had this for 20 years and it doesn't affect my day to day life at all. Just make sure Beloved carries some sort of medical alert in case of accidents so medics are aware.

My ebay buyer did come last night so that is £24 in the money box, obviously the fees will have to be paid from the bank at a later date.

I did run last night, it was very cold and I didn't want to go really but the library had a book I had reserved so I ran there (downhill) 2 miles and 2 miles (uphill) with 3 big books to get home, 2 birds with one stone.

NSD today as in work, everyone was going on and on about snow but all we had was sleet, the forecast said snow at home so I was panicking and was going to leave an hour early, decided not to and there is just a bit of sleet here too, glad I didn't leave now as I am paid by the hour.

Plan for this evening is to do nowt:D. Already in my pj's.

Hello everyone, been awol I am afraid :o
Not feeling too great, have made a GP appointment.... for 25 February :rotfl: Hopefully I will be better by then and be able to cancel it. Seriously, if it gets worse, I can always phone for an 'emergency' appointment instead of a 'routine' one. Hmm, doctor's appointments have never been part of my routine, but perhaps I am lucky. And 'emergencies' signify things like suspected heart attacks or sepsis to me
Anyway, NSDs are at 8 / 10. A poor performance, but I have been stocking up a bit, using different shops on different days to get the best prices.

    Gratitudes:
Keeping warm in front of the wood stove :)

Snowdrops outside the front door :)
Seeing some old friends this morning :)

    NSD today - 21/20.
Went for my usual walk in the park this morning.
Dealt with a couple of frogs.
    Some self care.
    Grateful for:
Spending most of the day in the warmth of the flat.
Watching the 3 original films about the empire/dark side. Really love these films(made in 77/80 and 83).
The communal flats recycling bin finally been emptied. Not done since around Christmas time. I reported it last week on line and had to phone up today to chase it up.
For being able to put some of my own recycling out.
