Kerry woman -thank you for your encouragement about doing park run. I think I'll be signing up soon!

Today I am grateful for a totally lazy day, for feeling much better and producing much less snot (still on the lookout for a financial use for snot...), for dh taking dd to dance, for dd whizzing around on her bike - barefoot still, for old threads on the forum to keep me out of mischief, for fleecy blankets for snuggling on the sofa.

    Hi all
Today is NSD #19. Hoping I'll hit target tomorrow. It actually helps that I haven't been paid :rotfl:
I was invited to a hen do & I really want to go but its a 3 day event & costing about 350 before food & drinks so I'm just joining in on the Saturday. My MIL lives where it is anyway so I'm gonna stay there that night. I feel a lot better about this arrangement. I know people want nice hens/ weddings but the cost of these events can get a bit silly.
Did my budget for feb last night, need to be careful but we have enough  & i can over pay the car loan by 60 quid.I am so desperate to get this done, hopefully by September.
Greatful for- my hub running me a nice bath last night, the days getting longer & being one month down in our super skint challenge. Finally buying this house will be one of the best days of my life :jI hope :rotfl:

Kerry Woman what did you go & see? Any recommendations?

I'm back!! Got thrown off again and barred due to randomly assigned IP address again. Pah! but back on again now. NSD 18 today. Busy splatting frogs, using up odds and ends of things to finish odd jobs - I haveeven recycled 4 old maps and now have Cornwall up to Stoke, all of Wales, and the midlands mapped out on my kitchen wall - it solves a problem until I know what I am going to do with it. No more bare plaster staring at me. I might even plan a road trip. God knows, there is nothing in my diary planned for me at the moment - it is all about GCSE study, and the school is ramping up the pressure. So day trips and fun stuff needs to be sourced and costed, so I know we all have something to look forward to.... that does not involve magnetic paint, filler, or screws.

    Hi all.

Ran today, would have cycled but it is very windy here which I think is dangerous particularly in hilly, open areas. Walked the dog, filled my car up with petrol and called at Sainsburys, they had sent me a coupon so I used it to get things I would have bought from Tesco (I have a delivery saver with them), I got cupboard items and only spent 38p more than the coupon required so quite pleased with that.

Made a curry for tea and there will be enough for my lunch at work on Tuesday, also made a mushroom soup, mixed fruit crumble and a quiche for DH. Decluttered a bag for the charity shop which DD took when she went to do her shift today, I avoided dropping her off or collecting her so no money spent there and nothing brought into the house to fill the new gaps. DS traded in an item at CEX yesterday, it only worked with his old xbox so someone else may as well enjoy it, he got £14 trade in.

Sold a desk on Friday, not sure if I mentioned it, it was only £10 as it had a couple of chips, glad to have it out of my garage and being used by someone else, the £10 went into our sealed money box to go towards trips next year. We have £7 left of our family spend budget this month, the new month starts on Friday and we won't be spending anything else before then as we will all be in school and work so the £7 will follow the tenner into the moneybox.

I am deep conditioning my hair at the moment so am sat with a shower cap on, I have a huge stash of toiletries but am slowly whittling them down, will have a bath after tea and apply a face mask too.

Will watch a film on Netflix after my bath.

Also listed another item on ebay, I wish I had success selling on other platforms as I really, really hate ebay at the moment.

Today I am grateful for another day of the weekend to rest and recuperate, for getting out for a short walk with dd, for keeping off the added sugar and feeling better for it - I reckon it is heping my recovery from my latest cold, for dd still loving going out on her bike, for the reflective jacket I wanted from w1ggle still being there this morning despite last night showing 'only 1 left', for a lovely chilling day with my dd, for the 2008 'live off 4k' thread - fascinating!, for an easy tea in the slow cooker (it's only taken 2 days to cook - not sure I've quite got the hang of it yet!).

    NSD today - 19/20.
Did not go out for walk today. Just put some books and dvds back on the book shelf. Still need to put rest of things back in my own time.
    Did some self care.
    Grateful for:
Speaking to brother and sister on phone.
Ice skating programme and seeing 2 of the judges ice stake.
    Having a chilled out day.

No NSDs this weekend for me. Went for a lovely walk yesterday up on a hill to the east of Madrid and looked out at the snow topped mountains, then went for pizza. Pretty much a perfect day. Total spends were €50 on food for the week and outings, we went to a travel expo but my mate paid who owed me some money. Not too bad. Today should be an NSD. Have a great Monday turtles!

  • Not a NSD yesterday but a LSD - got a couple of essential bits plus a bunch of daffs, my first of the year. That's £1 that will give me a great deal of pleasure.

Also managed a run and a big DIY frog. Knackered today!

Today I am grateful for: geriatric cat defying all odds and still hanging on, a nice tidy house for the start of the week, having remembered to polish my shoes at the weekend.
