List your frogs – The frog list is a frog!
Little Savings – 10p added to pot

Exercise – Might have to miss running club again as DH will probably be late in from work as has been out of the office on a course for 3 days. My knees are a bit sore too from sitting on a train for so long.

I'm here again, not posted as much as I wanted to due to having bad fibromyalgia flare up and that invited in the black dog. I'm feeling better today so going to do some light housework.
I am doing well with my challenges:
1 not played computer games now for 24 days
2 Unnecessary things not being bought. Just a waste bin for my bedroom and a c/s book I have wanted to read for ages, so only £7 spent so far.
3 curbing my kit kat problem - getting easier
4 12 NSD really good for me as I buy little and often.
Managing to keep to planned menus and not wasted any food as bought to menu plan. Used up quite a bit of cupboard/freezer items, but still have plenty in. I picked up 5 different fresh fish packets from the co-op all y/s and less than £2 each. Bargain!
Instead of a holiday this year, I have decided to have day trips out and visit family and friends. I have had good holidays for the last 7 years and I need to clear my debt. So I have booked to go to Salford Quay in March to see the Lowry Museum, and Tatton Park Flower show in July so far. Visiting Essex in June, and DD1 family every eight weeks from February in Warwickshire. Also booking theatre and cinema trips with friends.
I am grateful for
Having a talk with DD3 last night about my illness and seeming inability to get household clean and tidy. Feel better about things now
Lovely sunshine in my garden and the birds visiting the feeders.
That I am happy to do the day trips on my own (via trips co.)
My own roof over my head, food on the table, and clothes on my back.
Belated birthday wishes to Mothernerd, and hugs to those who need them.

NSD 13/15 yesterday and today should be 14! so January is ending much much better than it started for me... every time I visit London (from spain) for christmas/holidays etc. I am shocked by how much money I spend... and it takes a while for life to get back to normal after being there. After having lived there for 7 years I don't know how it still shocks me!! but I think next time I go I'll have a strategy for dealing with it and not spending january feeling like a mse failure.
Anyway today I am grateful for.... having savings, my job and short commute and for being told on 3 separate occasions that my spanish is good or improving this week. Yay!Student loan £5655

Was a spend day. Brought fruit, tv mag, birthdays cards and some treats in my favourite shop.
Did not go for my usual walk in the park as I have been feeling dizzy the majority of the day. Took my time doing my errands.
Put 4 full bag coins into my savings account.
Grateful for:
Having a nice chat/bunter with my brother.
Being able to do things despite being feeling dizzy.
Saving money where possible today - 10 cards for £2 and treats were 2 for £4 saving £1.20, pears and satsumas were £2.

Hope you feel better soon, Kerry Woman. Do keep hydrated.
Today I am grateful for a cheerful day at work, for dh dropping me at the train stn, for getting a seat on all my trains, for mum being mellow, for the care assistant who let me out knowing my name (they all know my sister's), for being able to walk plenty, for seeing an old friend and being able to help her a little, for peace and quiet.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Hello lovely Turtles,
Today was a spend day as I had to get groceries but yesterday wasn't so on 18/20.
My LOs friends are here tomorrow to make pizzas with us, should be good fun & it wont break the bank!
Another frog off the list, two to go!
Greatful for- DH doing the washing before I got home, my wonderful MIL getting my boys an electric toothbrush each & for tomorrow being pay day (I am down to pence):j
I made a list last night of clothes we all need so I've got time to source them at fairly reasonable prices & look in all the sales.
Been up all night with my LO so feeling tired & pretty lousy but still on track & tomorrow is another day
Have a good evening all!0 -
NSD 14/15 for me yesterday. Today and this weekend won’t be NSDs as I am going for a few drinks later and to a travel exhibition tomorrow, but it should be a cheapish day out!apple_muncher wrote: »Shrewbie - have you found anywhere to live yet? Gracias apple! :j it feels really good to finally be improving. I am doing a lot of viewings this week for rooms in shared flats. Had one on tuesday in Legazpi which I really really liked - it's close to my work, relatively cheap and the 2 girls I'd be sharing with seemed lovely, One yesterday I saw was in Huertas and the area is just too busy for me, I wouldn't pay over the odds just to be in the centre and have to push my way past all the tourists to get anywhere. Also I don't know if you experienced this but it seems that it's really common and semi-acceptable here to have "landlords" who don't give rental contracts in order to avoid tax but still ask for deposits from tenants! so that's a stumbling block.
I have 2 more to see, one in Chamberi and one in Almendrales near work. These viewings are like bluddy interviews but hopefully I'll get one of the 5 I see this week, fingers crossed. I'm staying with friends at the moment so I don't want to overstay my welcome (past feb) but I'm very grateful they have let me stay for 3 weeks, I’ve just paid them €150 ish towards bills and for the cleaner.Student loan £5655

Morning turtles,
If I get through today without spending, I've met my target of 17 NSD's, with plenty time to spare. There is murmurings of going for a drink after work so that might have to wait till next week.
No exercise this morning but I'll go tonight after work (again providing there's no drinks).
Hope everyone has an awesome day0
