Happy birthday for yesterday Mothenerd!
NSD 11 for me yesterday. I am waiting for invoice for my latest bit of freelance work to be paid so I can update my savings total. Exciting.
Grateful for sunshine even if it is bloody cold, and for having a free hour at work to search for flats, for my spanish podcasts that get phrases stuck in my head and for students bringing me coffee!
Hope everyone has a lovely day xStudent loan £5655

Happy Birthday Mothernerd! and glad you had a lovely day filled with surprises.
Just had a text to say two parcels will be delivered between nine and eleven, so will rush home from school run and sit and wait in my 4/5ths clean house.
After-school clubs plus a late school meeting tonight, so in and out and in and out and in and out again today. Will be back home at 8.30, but luckily there is a 90 minute window to feed everyone before having to go out between meetings - burgers it is then!
Grateful for: thermal leggings, hot chocolate, thinking to open the windows and air the house yesterday, being able to plan what I have to do, and working my way through the lists. Only 9 days until payday!4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Happy Birthday Mothernerd! What lovely presents from your boys.

Make plans for the month – nothingelse planned for this month
Always pay your debts first – No payments made today, next one doesn't come out for a few days
List your frogs – Still not done the frog list but as I have 11 hours on a train over the next couple of days it will get done
Little Savings – nothing added
Chill out – watched Silent Witness with DH, well I watched it he fell asleep after half an hour

Always be grateful – Today I am grateful for
1) finding a spare hour to do some batch cooking and avoid waste
2) grabbing a bargain 2nd hand after walking away from exactly the same item brand new at the weekend
3) having access to a work laptop to get on line as mine has finally died
New to You – no progress

Sort it out – made a list of all the fresh items that needed using up and in an hour made 4 portions of leek, parsnip, carrot and potato soup, 4 portions of vegan chili and 2 portions of parsnip and cauli curry which smells divine. Yesterday was 13 out of 17 NSD's for me! Absolutely smashing it this month and well on track for a new record.
For me, my NSD's tend to be spoiled in food related activity, so it all comes down to preparation. Anything else I 'need' to buy, can usually wait until the weekend when I'm buying other things too.0 -
Belated birthday greetings for yesterday, mothernerd!

Kerry woman - will you not be able to get any more temp work?
Today I am grateful for my counsellor, for feeling like a door has been flung open for me, for my next lot of stripey knitting, for booking flights to Texas to see MIL, for getting a 'run' done (I may even try a parkrun soon - Kerry woman I love that you do this regularly), for going for a swim too, for dd being moved up a swimming stage after only 3 weeks at her current stage, for the flat being available so I can go and visit mum this week.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
apple muncher - The agency might get me the odd temp job. Cannot commit to a long term job. Have said that I want a desk job as the last exam invigilating job consisted of very long days of standing and it did not help my arthritis. Will have to wait and see. I do enjoy doing the park run as the volunteers wait until the last person crosses the finishing line. And people run, jog and walk. You will enjoy it.Frugal Living Challenge 2025 Mortgage free as of 1st August 20130
