Well we all made it til Friday! Congratulations and don't forget your gloves. Brrrrr already out there.
Grateful for- not having to walk 3 miles each way on the school run, not having to buy anything in for Friday lunchboxes, those clever old Romans that invented central heating in Britain. Having less than 50 odd socks left after all the laundry has been sorted.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Finding January tough as l'm sure most people are. I've managed 7 nsds which l'm more than happy about but lve been called upon to help DD out as she's struggling first month moving out after Christmas and now realises like we all do that it's expensive running your own home and bills turn up all the time. She's young and will learn but l refuse to see her struggle so early on in her new home when l can help. She will learn and is now starting understanding the value of planning meals and considered purchases. Onwards and upwards with the savings some good news is lve reduced my gas&elect by £50 a month by not using the drier since March and not being wasteful with the heating( a Woolley hat can be worn inside lol) xCount down to retirement 20230

Morning all :coffee:
Apologies for my absence - exam season hasn't started yet, but I am poorly sick _pale_ I actually thought it was flu yesterday because I could barely even lift my head and I slept for over 16 hours... However, today I have full on snotty nose and rattling chest so it must just be a cold. I'm off work, feeling guilty (as I'm on attendance monitoring already) but really not able to do much. Yesterday I could only just manage soup and tea among my sleeping. Today I feel like I can do admin work online prepping lessons and stuff but no way could I be in front of a class of 30+ I have no voice and no patience.
Anyway, on the plus side I bagged a nsd, and should today (I need more medicine but that will not count) and I am grateful that I had meals in the freezer just to reheat, and for the fact that the kids are old enough to pretty much fend for themselves. I'm also grateful that I feel a bit better today and hopeful that I'll get something done.
Shabbychic - your dd is lucky to have you to help out. I'm grateful that I have my mam who still helps me now when I need it.Not giving up

NOW DONE!!!!Added quite a few packs of 0ats0 s1mple sachets (apparently bigger ones) - found boxes of 10 sachets reduced from 2.45 to 25p - and in date until 11/2019! As my breakfast of choice is porridge or toast these will get used (OH also has porridge or toast for breakfast and DS3 is partial to porridge on a w/e) (I've never used sachets before, but it seemed quite a good thing to also perhaps have some handy at work, rather than going to the canteen...)

Hi all
NSD- today is number 14. Would like another one this week.
Plans- out tomorrow with the kids. I've already put my expected costs to one side.I also bought some 9pchoc coins yesterday from Aldi which I'm going to do a chocolate hunt around the house with. Kids will enjoy it.
Frogs- added another couple.
Little savings- hub added 2p to sobs change jar.:rotfl:
Gratitudes- for hub being home, however briefly, for my son being a really good boy today & for my fluffy bedding.
Sort it out- used up some buns with soup for lunch & left over mince for tea.
Not much else to report- so cold today so weve mainly hidden under our blankets except for a quick bike ride!0
