I have a full menu plan up until Monday morning and I don't have to buy a thing, but I do need to buy for lunchboxes (yawn!) so there will be a spend day in there somewhere.
It was snowing here this morning, for about 20 minutes just after 6, it flurried down, then went away, and left me a snowy pile on my windowsill, with no other sign it had ever been there. So, it is cold here, hot water bottles will be deployed. DH has decided he is coming down with a cold now the students are back (every term it happens ) Budget is looking good. Requests from schools have started already- trips being planned all over the place, and I have after-school clubs and study sessions every single weekday, so multiple pickups and the petrol budget will need to be increased.
Right - busy with laundry today - the dryer is on, but the thicker or larger items are on the line first - the sun must do something at least .
DS3 has received a competition prize from my December advent competitions - so I will have happy kids tonight.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

ilovetea - well done on your weight loss, that is a fantastic amount.
Expecting to have a NSD today, have been mega busy this morning. Have done the school run, stripped and re-made all the beds inlcuding turning the mattresses which is not really a one person job and resulted in two broken finger nails, all bedding washed and dried, 2 loads of laundry folded and put away, grocery shopping delivered and stashed away, dog walked, dropped Avon book and money off at my friends house, vacuumed downstairs, made and ate lunch.
Will be venturing out on the bike this afternoon in the freezing wind.
Need to think about tea then, I thought I had some meatballs in the freezer but I haven't so I think it will be beans on toast for the kids, jacket and beans for me and DH.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Chill out – even if it’s only 15 minutes a day Spent the morning asleep - woke at 4.30 with a headache which was even worse when I attempted to get up just gone 6am. Thankfully OH is around at the mo so he dealt with the 2 smalls/ lunches/ school runs and the pets and I emerged at almost lunchtime. I've had 3 x 2 paracetamol today and it is still in the background - I can now function to a reasonable level, but feel washed out and groggy so today has been a write off.
Helping others –– finally managed to catch up with a friend to give her a top for her DS2

Yikes, barefoot? Amazing!
My gratitudes (which I've remembered pretty constantly, even though I've not been posting them, sorry) are the beautiful blue sky today, the chance to repair a relationship, and the chance to make my life more the way I want it.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Hi Turtles:j
NSDs – Aiming for 10 as am going away on 22nd for a few days (Christmas treat) : now 10/10
Make plans for the month – Planned visit to Barcelona later in the month. Rail ticket & plane already paid for. No more plans as yet...
Always pay your debts first – No debts but do use a cc which is paid in full every month...need to rein this in, spending has been frightful of late..CC paid off in full, now need to make sure it doesn't rack up to those levels this month. No spends today. Going to restart PAD payments to try & get cc balance down. Emptied vw campervan moneybox to help with hol spends.
List your frogs – Started another very large frog this week, but am pleased with progress. (Clearing bedroom). Done some frogs from list, now need to list more as plenty still to get to grips with...did another 15 mins on bedroom last night & aim to do same tonight. Big shout out to mothernerd for passing on the tip to leave a room better than you found it, really resonates with me and am trying to implement it. Started kitchen frog this morning, still a long way to go but much better.
Little Savings – Will check out how much in £2 coin piggybank to see if it will help with holiday spends. MIL cash paid into joint account. Will check £2 piggy tomorrow. Not a piggy but a campervan LOL. And it had £130 in it, so that is bound for the bank..
Chill out – working on this. Always read before sleeping but sometimes counterproductive as I want to keep reading, then can't sleep! Also have been continuing with my complex knitting, can now do whilst watching tv....also needles came today for next very big project..More of the complex knitting, it's really looking like a pattern now.
Helping others – Got DH 3 hats & a pair of gloves the other day - and some cadburys fudge, he is very pleased.
Always be grateful – Grateful for today:
- bright but cold day
- snowdrops peeking out underneath the trees in the garden
- snug & warm inside
New to You – not today
Get involved – I'm here!
Exercise – Not today unless you count housework.
Sort it out – Need to do this & will be eating from stuffed freezers & cupboards for January. Failed to find inventory of freezer that I wrote the other week, but it must be around somewhere! Food from stores today.
GO Turtles!!!!New start JAN15 - NOT BUYING IT 2015 . Long haul DFW #145 : 2011 DEBTBUSTING : £5500 OD GONE, £2000 OD - GONE £93,610.30 cc & loan debt - GONE 27.6.14 FINALLY DEBT & MORTGAGE FREE :happyhear0 -
Mostly sleeping and a little reading. Took some library books back and 9 (mainly small) items for the charity bin - only a bit in it so going to put my thinking cap on and see if I can fill 2 sacks before someone else fills the gap.
Good (mostly healthy) food from the freezer (the non healthy bit was wedges because they took the same time in the oven as the mackerel). Emptied the dishwasher (told them to start filling it again) dealt with a minor flood incident (so calm in a crisis - must have seen a hundred variations on this one) and some bits to the bins.
Today I am grateful for being needed (if only to deal with leaks), for feeling good (it was easiest to put on my 'dressed up' clothes from yesterday) and a few plans simmering. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0
