  • Evening all :hello:
Chocolatelover - my daith hasn't ever really bothered me at all. I've never tried to change the bar in it but my advice was a 6 month healing time. It doesn't hurt but does still bleed if I knock it now...
Another quick check in from me - I've been crossing a big frog off my list but didn't get in until quarter past six. I've been busy with work, then picking up and delivering forms, then a doctor's appointment. Productive, but I now need to get on with some exam work.
Not a nsd as I had to pay 20p for car parking :p
Grateful for: having food prepared in the freezer so therefore time saving, finally getting my mediation form and giving it to my solicitor and Tuesday night tv while I'm working.

Make plans for the month – looks all quiet for this month.
Always pay your debts first – on target for the month.
List your frogs – have ticked some off my list. Still lots to do and added more as I’ve gone along.
Little savings – started the 1p saving challenge.
Chill out – making time to do some puzzles.
Helping others – charity dd made. Need to get donations to cs.
Always be grateful – time with family, tea and a good day at work.
New to You – using library membership for e-magazines.
Get involved – reading thread everyday but still lousy at posting.
Exercise – minimal but getting out for a walk everyday.
Sort it out – still going through the cupboards, fridge and freezer.

Today I am grateful for a great day, for lots of walking, for a workout and a swim, for dd loving school, for dd loving her swimming lesson (she loathed it last week), for my counsellor, for getting some items to the foodbank, for meeting a friend for lunch (a very late bday present for her), for the birdsong, for fleecy blankets.

Spend free days (NSD’s)I'm going to aim for 20 as money is going to be pretty tight this month - no spends today so now on 9/20.

Make plans for the monthI've got a couple of things planned for this month but will make sure that they are as low budget as possible - next up is theatre evening with the girls, ticket already paid for but will probably go out for a meal/drinks before.

Always pay your debts firstBudget is done for January and debt payment has been made - £1.20 paid towards debt today.

List your frogsMade a start on this and will add to the list as I think of more - nothing today.

Little savings I've added a whole £2.50 to my emergency fund taking it to £9.50 :rotfl:, will continue to add as I can - £1 added so now got £15 in the emergency fund :D

Chill out – Will aim to read a bit every day. I've also got a few adult colouring books which have been sitting there for ages so will aim to do some colouring in too - spent some time colouring.

Helping others – I've set up a charity donation which will come out at the start of the month. I'll also add items to the food bank whenever I'm in the supermarket - nothing today.

Always be gratefulWill post 3 gratitudes each day. - a good work out at the gym, random freezer leftovers for tea and a clean flat :)

New to YouMe and OH are planning to do a huge sort though of all our stuff, there's still unopened boxes from when we moved in, who knows what treasures we might find ;) - nothing done.

Get involvedI always struggle with daily posting but will try this month - I'm here :D

ExerciseI really need to get back into exercising regularly. Now have new running shoes so no excuses! - went to the gym, 30 mins on cross trainer and 20 mins kettlebells.

Sort it out I don't really have anything in the cupboards lurking that doesn't get used except spices but will aim to use up some of them - made some cheese scones to use up some vegan cheese, chucked in some chilli flakes to give them some flavour.
    Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500  1.8.25 - £106,362.86
    Mortgage overpayment savings - £46.47/£50
Mortgage overpayments so far - £625.98
  • Evening everyone! :D

CCL - thank you :) was hoping to change the bar after a few months but might wait a littler longer. They told me that I need to go back there to change it as apparently it is a pain to change lol.

Not a NSD today popped into Arseda with my mum and son and got some more fruit. I was quite pleased with myself I did pick up quite a few things that I put back (a few items of clothes and some food) that I either already had or didn't need. I ended up spending £15 which for me is really good because it would normally be a lot more than that. It means my fridge is topped uo with fresh fruit again (been eating alot) and even got DS some new socks (he has grown out of most of his other ones)

    Grateful:
    1. Mum buying my lunch today
    2. My son <3
    3. Heating

Done over 10K steps today, have decided in the evening if I haven't done my 10K I shouldn't go on my PS4 until I have done the 10K steps :)

    C xx

    Exercise None yet this week

Sort it out – Going well but need to keep an eye on the veg drawer and use the fresh stuff in order of freshness not on a whim.

A spend day for me, did all mum's shopping. Had to pay cash for birthday cards, then claimed it back by adding goods to that value onto mum's shop at Icyland. Getting to Icyland was the furthest I have been shopping with my sprained ankle, sat down many times on the walker and it took over an hour (two bags for life). Also bought much needed washing and dishwasher tablets (2 and 5 left respectively). Managed to get both in HB so the only detour was through the market/ shopping centre.

Taxi to mum's , put shopping away in between lots of rest, then did more jigsaw whilst mum watched a film. Bins put out at mum's and home.

Made arrangements to visit mum's first boyfriend tomorrow. I roasted my butternut squash and ate it with a vegetable pasty and have more for tomorrow lunch (he was going to cook but he really isn't well - think mum is going to read him the riot act as he hasn't told his sons how ill he is or they wouldn't have let him come back home after Christmas).

Not sure how the week will pan out after that. I am disappointed by how little progress I made at weekend but I have been thinking a lot, prompted by the frugalwoods and other sources. Sort of doing a mind shift which will help in the end but has knocked me for six just now.

Today I am grateful for a cheerful comical jigsaw, for persevering with several library books that I had difficulty getting into and for getting all the shopping in only 4 places (straight line with one curve - in the front door of the market/ shopping centre and out the side door).

Quote I really need a day in between each day to recover from the day before and to prepare for the next.
My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.

    Hi Turtles:j

NSDs – Aiming for 10 as am going away on 22nd for a few days (Christmas treat) : still 8/10 as a shopping spendy day today

Make plans for the month – Planned visit to Barcelona later in the month. Rail ticket & plane already paid for. May make plans for Thursday in the morning.

Always pay your debts first – No debts but do use a cc which is paid in full every month...need to rein this in, spending has been frightful of late..CC paid off in full, now need to make sure it doesn't rack up to those levels this month. No spends today. Going to restart PAD payments to try & get cc balance down. Will need to empty all change from purse into savings pot.
Found purse & will do now. Put all change I found into very large savings tin. Will raid DHs drawer where he puts his change tomorrow..

List your frogs – Started another very large frog this week, but am pleased with progress. (Clearing bedroom). Done some frogs from list, now need to list more as plenty still to get to grips with...still on with bedroom but no time today.

Little Savings Will check out how much in £2 coin piggybank to see if it will help with holiday spends. Also have cash from MIL from Christmas to pay in.

Chill out – working on this. Not much chilling today but will soon be in bed with a book. More books purchased from CS today.

Helping others helped new colleague at CS.

Always be grateful – Grateful for today:

    - email from friend saying that his new meds are making him feel much better, great news

    - DH helping with washing up

    - good sleep feel much better for it

New to Youdid purchase today, but mostly for DD

    Get involved I'm here!

Exercise Not outside today as shift in CS, plus then shopping with DD, pretty tiring.

Sort it out – Need to do this & will be eating from stuffed freezers & cupboards for January. Failed to find inventory of freezer that I wrote the other week, but it must be around somewhere! Did some shopping today to stock up with some items.

    GO Turtles!!!!

Work is ugh so motivation to deal with personal frogs very low. Need to get on with stuff but tricky on low sleep.
