Evening all
CCL, you must be a very proud Mum tonightSeriously though, when elderly people fall outside in the winter and can't get up, they are in real danger if they can't get help quickly
so your DD may well have prevented him coming to serious harm :T
Well, I have managed a NSD, so currently at 3 / 10
OH and I finished quite a big garden project today, and I looked after baby GS for several hours as his mum is poorly, so I am pretty shattered. Hoping to sleep better tonight than I did last - it seems only fair!
Not much done apart from looking after baby and shovelling, so not feeling very organised today. I did make soup for everyone for lunch, but resorted to fish fingers for dinner as I was too tired to make the veggie curry that I intended :rotfl:0 -
F0xh0les - I was also blocked by admin. So I emailed them. Then after a couple of minutes, I tried to log on again and it was fine. So I emailed them to let them know. Both emails got the same standard reply! Not very impressed!
I love your comment about growing 4/5 of your loved ones. Brilliant!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

Grateful for blue skies and sunshine.
Getting loads of washing done.

Chill out by reading book at bedtime.
All cupboards are now clean and tidy except for the cupboard of doom. This is the most gigantic frog ever known :rotfl:

Today was a spend day, slept through my alarm this morning and had to buy lunch. No lunchtime walk as work was too busy. Grateful for laughs with a colleague, ATM machines - funny to think there was a time we didn’t have them. Too tired to think of a third one. Sleep well.0

Yeah 2nd nsd day. This not spending is tough for a frivolous spender but lve sorted out my kitchen cupboards this afternoon instead of shopping and l feel it's a job well done - unfortunately l will never find anything again l'm that tidy.
Today l'm grateful for making time for me. I've managed the gym and to crochet, to be fair the crochet is to keep my hands busy and stop me eating, a means to an end. XCount down to retirement 20230 -
Hi all:j
NSDs – Aiming for 10 as am going away on 22nd for a few days (Christmas treat) : Still 5/ 10 as food shopping today
Make plans for the month – Planned visit to Barcelona later in the month. Rail ticket & plane already paid for.
Plans to go out somewhere maybe Thursday..had a voucher in post so maybe this week or next
Always pay your debts first – No debts but do use a cc which is paid in full every month...need to rein this in, spending has been frightful of late..CC paid off in full, now need to make sure it doesn't rack up to those levels this month. Spends at SM today.
List your frogs – Started another very large frog this week, but am pleased with progress. (Clearing bedroom). During this also found a brand new sealed cover for the sofa bed promised to DD (could be 2 items out of the house!!) and also a brand new fitted jersey sheet....treasure. DH managed to get sofa bed out of sunroom & into car along with much foul language (luckily not witnessed by me but admitted to by him). I was able to help by pointing out that the sofa frame was caught on the seatbelt, that's why it wouldn't go in...he can thank me later....
Little Savings – Put in a £2 coin that I had in my change the other day, will get cash out & pay in to bank. Joined 1p challenge..Will add to moneybox tonight. Also have some money in TCB, meant to access for Christmas but didn't so it should have mounted up. Need to work out how to withdraw it to obtain max benefit. Tomorrow for this.
Chill out – working on this. One of my frogs is to start doing some complex knitting...as I am supposed to be doing a 'knitalong'. So far have not even started. Pressure on knitalong as second section now posted online, have not even done tension square yet. hmm. Did get outside & planted some bulbs for indoors even though weather not good. Not much chilling out as had bad nights sleep, then woken early by dogs fighting downstairs (they never fight). Always sounds much worse than it was, no injuries but I wouldn't recommend it as wake up call, ugh. Not conducive to chilling out.
Helping others – Shift in CS with only me & boss in back of shop, everyone else either on hols or who knows where. Crazy amounts of stuff to go through, most ragged as in awful condition/filthy or both.
Always be grateful – Grateful for today:
- DH able to remove sofabed so space appearing
- DD making an extra lunch so I could eat when I got in
- cosy bed & uninterrupted sleep (I hope)
New to You – Have more than enough of pretty much everything clothes wise etc but still looking online, forced self not to purchase. Will need printer ink soon as all run out. Will be shopping tomorrow but don't need much. Done food shopping but still will be going to the big store tomorrow with DD....do not intend to buy .. OK did buy so no NSD again today. However, DD wants a sofa bed so offered her the one in the sunroom...if it works will get more space & she gets a free item win-win. DD brought some packets of porridge she no longer eats but I will. Lots of things I will be able to wear should I lose some weight. Surely that should be an incentive? Have told DH no clothes handbags or shoe purchases this year....he said he is the same Lets see if we stick to it! Not too bad eating today but DD included kale in the lunch she prepped. Not sure it's my friend atm...
Get involved – I'm here!
Exercise – Exercise in CS lugging bags around. Also out with beasts for a short time, did some pruning as well.
Sort it out – Need to do this & will be eating from stuffed freezers & cupboards for January. Ate something from freezer for supper & made do with stuff in fridge for lunch. DH helped with jammed freezer drawers - it was on his list...caused by me going into unlit garage & fighting off 2 dogs whilst removing/adding stuff to upright freezer, then quickly shutting door. Not easy..But now have inventory of that freezer other than top drawer, amazing amount of food it holds!! Still eating from stocks but will be minimal shopping tomorrow for fresh stuff. Just bought a small amount of fresh food, couple of YS items & vits.
GO Turtles!!!!New start JAN15 - NOT BUYING IT 2015 . Long haul DFW #145 : 2011 DEBTBUSTING : £5500 OD GONE, £2000 OD - GONE £93,610.30 cc & loan debt - GONE 27.6.14 FINALLY DEBT & MORTGAGE FREE :happyhear0 -
Spend free days (NSD’s) – Today is 6/17
Always pay your debts first – I put £75 aside for an ‘emergency fund’ and plan to continue doing this ever month going forward.
List your frogs – I’ve absolutely smashed this one, with a few more still to do but I’m reluctant because they cost money (car breakdown cover, landlord insurance and to buy a yoga mat). I plan on getting more done today.
Chill out – Reading. I’ll do some tonight after football to chill out for a bit.
Helping others – I'm going to look into how I can help the homeless. It seems a serious issue in Manchester more than other places, so I'll do some digging. Still to do this
Always be grateful;
Joe Rogan. Another guy who I only know from his long podcasts but it’s no exaggeration to say he’s changed my life. Very aspirational.
Free recipes. Some of the meals I’ve made lately are lovely and the recipes completely free (BBC Good Food, Tesco, Jamie Oliver etc)
Our armed forces. I watched SAS who dares wins last night and they are machines. A lot of respect to them all.
My gran. I called to arrange a bite of lunch with her on Sunday and she’s just a little angel.
Hope everyone has an awesome hump day0 -
Hi all,
Today is a spend day as I am off grocery shopping this evening & also paying for DSs new bed, so I am still on 7.
Make plans - off to my friends this weekend with the LOs, we will have dinner there & take their dog for a walk so that gets us out of the house without having to spend any money. Play group is back on again from Friday, also free.
Chill out- seems unlikely there will be much of this this week but that is just how it has fallen.
lots to be grateful for this morning, hub has his dates for working away (boo) but for once they fall at fairly convenient times. Usually if we have anything on he usually gets sent away then :rotfl: also, he has been given his Easter leave dates which match up perfectly with the kids being off nursery THANK GOD. I hadn't worked out how I'd pay the £800 it would be for 2 weeks of full nursery fees if it didn't tally up. I am grateful for porridge on a cold morning & for having a good laugh with hub about him running naked through the house believing we were being robbed (it was our child, who had gone to sleep on his train track table. who knows why!0 -
For yesterday as me and OH had a lovely screen free evening.
Spend free days (NSD’s) – I'm going to aim for 20 as money is going to be pretty tight this month - NSD yesterday so 6/20.
Make plans for the month – I've got a couple of things planned for this month but will make sure that they are as low budget as possible - Out tonight.
Always pay your debts first – Budget is done for January and debt payment has been made - no additional debt payments.
List your frogs – Made a start on this and will add to the list as I think of more - nothing done yesterday.
Little savings – I've added a whole £2.50 to my emergency fund taking it to £9.50 :rotfl:, will continue to add as I can - 1p added to the coppers jar.
Chill out – Will aim to read a bit every day. I've also got a few adult colouring books which have been sitting there for ages so will aim to do some colouring in too - spent last night playing a board game with OH.
Helping others – I've set up a charity donation which will come out at the start of the month. I'll also add items to the food bank whenever I'm in the supermarket - planning a sort through of clothes at some point so will take a bag to the CS.
Always be grateful – Will post 3 gratitudes each day. - feeling better, managing a 5k run, yummy roast pork leftovers for tea
New to You – Me and OH are planning to do a huge sort though of all our stuff, there's still unopened boxes from when we moved in, who knows what treasures we might find- nothing done today.
Get involved – I always struggle with daily posting but will try this month - I'm herealthough a little late
Exercise – I really need to get back into exercising regularly. I got some vouchers for Christmas to get more running shoes so that will be my first step - ran 5k yesterday. Planning to get my new running shoes today.
Sort it out – I don't really have anything in the cupboards lurking that doesn't get used except spices but will aim to use up some of them - nothing used.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86
Mortgage overpayment savings - £2.11/£50
Mortgage overpayments so far - £675.980
