Well I've made a better than expected start.
Day 2
2. Bag of recycling to recycling bin - the usual jars, bottles and packets plus a lot of old paper (I've put the confidential stuff from committees into a shredding bag and will count that when it leaves the house).
3. some old carpet to bin. I think I used it in the garden at my old house but it's been lying around in the outside store since I moved into my flat
4. Sold some craft bits on a local selling page. Collected this evening.
5. Gave some magazines to a neighbour who will read them and pass on.
6. Cut up and threw away old expired credit cards and loyalty cards - I've no idea why I kept them.
I decided I wouldn't count individual items because I'm going to be clearing out lots of small things and the count will get very high without making much of a difference to the tip that is my home.
Looking forward to tomorrow and clearing more stuff.January 2021 Frugal Living limit £339.50, target £300

Hi, all:
still ploughing on. This week's thing is defrosting the freezer, even if it is by making the contents into ready meals! More stuff gone:
346-350 various items from the bathroom cabinet that have been open for too long.
351-353 a very stuffed cereal box full of scraps of paper, old receipts and bus tickets. (Counted as 3 items due to effort involved)
354-357 4 plastic glasses brought back from 2 trips to a really nice music festival. TBH, I have enough reminders of the festival without keeping the glasses so Out They Go.
358 Resigned from one volunteering post. Didn't gel and I need to think about paid work.‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.
"It’s a beautiful day with golden sunshine and blue skies all the way.” David Lynch.0 -
1591 - 1596 coat hangers to bin ( it pains me to do this but CSS won’t take them any more.
1597 - 1615 - general recycling
1624 - 1629 more coat hangers binned
1630 sold a large bit of furniture to a friend - it’s not leaving until Sept but ...
Spent most of the day trying to figure out that blooming kitchen as the builder is coming in two days and I really wanted to show him something so he could give a better quoted time. I think it is as sorted as it can be now. Phew.“Isn't this enough? Just this world? Just this beautiful, complex

Morning all
I had another go in DS's bedroom yesterday. It starting to come together especially with another big bin bag of stuff for the charity shop.
I'm going to try and get into the awkward cupboard today and search through his clothes baby clothes for suitable pieces for the memory quilt. That will free up some more room once the pieces are cut.
It looks a bit iffy outside. Hopefully some garden decluttering of weeds later too.
Have a fab day all.1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%

Had visitors over the weekend, so had to sort out the spare room. I've found out where all the dust bunnies come from - they have a farm under the spare bed where they are breeding:eek:2021 - mission declutter and clean - 0/20210

Nothing decluttered over the weekend as fatigue struck big time. Have a couple of things to do today to meet deadlines so may only be able to get rid of the odd thing here and there that I come across. Need to get rid of 50 items today in order to catch up for the last 4 days plus today's target

Good morning fellow declutterersSunday I was up at 9:30 - knitting & a small sm shop. Got back in time for the visit from the patio man
Not very MSE - booked for September  Dinner was pork steaks, boiled potatoes & green beans. The matinee coat is nearly finished - just the button hole border & collar to knit, then dry iron & make up. I also hand washed the christening gown I knitted. Dried flat on dining table & is ready for wrapping up - just need some tissue paper. Monday up a bit later - 10:00 a.m. & DH had made my cuppa. Today I will finish my knitting but have no other plans. It has rained overnight & is still cloudy but the sun is trying to break through

:hello: Luciecat63 & welcome aboard the Decluttering Bandwagon :T You have made an excellent start :T One thing I always suggest (the idea was ‘borrowed’ from someone else) is that you create a small haven for yourself - it may just be a corner of your bedroom with a chair & small table - always keep it clear & retire there with a cuppa or a tipple & a book or magazine or knitting when things get too muchYour own private space
You will have lots of support from s - even if it is only virtual
Hope you enjoy reading the thread & if you have time or the inclination you could read the 2018 Decluttering Thread :rotfl: I am looking forward to reading your tales of success & remember that it will have taken years to collect all your clutter so it will take a while to declutter
Again welcome to the ‘wonderful world’ (thanks Louis :T) of decluttering
See you all later

An unplanned declutter for me today. After hearing into the awkward cupboard on the hunt for t shirts for he memory quilt I sorted out seven bin bags of 0-3 yrs clothes from DS. It's something I didn't think I could do but I've sorted out a few bits to keep and the rest can go to make some money for charity. I could sell them but I just won't get round to it.
It's a huge move for me and I feel proud of myself.
Now I just need to call Air Ambulance headquarters to see if they can collect them.1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%
