Well that will teach me to be a bit more proactive on the cheerleading front - two pages of posts :rotfl:
So I will do my cheerleading in 2 posts :rotfl:
parsniphead, THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG WITH YOU :rotfl: You might find you come to enjoy vacuuming/dusting :rotfl: making a game of it :rotfl:
Well Done:- butterfly2507; oceanspirit - targets & lists are our friends :rotfl:; Cherryfudge - thanks :T I was in fine form in the post I lost, so was very sad 😞 when it vanished; oh nannywindow
you do have a life
it is the little things that keep us going & give us pleasure & there are stranger things than filling a cs bag with clutter :rotfl:; Wednesday2000 - perhaps you should weigh your dust/fur - 200g = 1 item decluttered :rotfl: - :T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T
Nice to see you bit by bitdecluttering produce from the allotment counts as decluttering :T A Gold Star ⭐️ for your success in NOT buying when visiting CS :T. Re the mess just think of it as decluttering the MK way :rotfl: Lots of mess leading to a clutter free life :rotfl:
Gem-gem, glad hubby is on the mend & well Done on continuing to declutter :T
TamsinC, you are not alone - I always feel a bit meh if I fall out with my DHI did well last night as he came home absolutely rat ar*ed & I didn’t yell or get angry
just offered him a coffee & a sandwich - both of which he declined as he was feeling a bit “poorly” :rotfl: Give him his due he did go straight to bed rather than falling asleep in his office chair :rotfl:
Happy Kitties - your Gold Star was well deserved - keeping a space clutter free is a major achievement for all of us :T
That is the end of Part 1 of my cheerleading- I will be back in a couple of hours :rotfl:

On the hubby front we are fine again, though I did end up upsetting DS’ partner, she’s 19 and believes she knows everything so when you point out inconsistencies in her arguments she takes umbrage. Ho hum, life is fun. I need to repeat to myself ‘don’t respond’ a million times to learn to bit my tongue.“Isn't this enough? Just this world? Just this beautiful, complex

Round 2 of cheerleading :rotfl:
:hello: MrsSnowy :j:j Sorry I am sooo late in welcoming you aboard the Declutter Bandwagon :T I am really hoping that you come out of lurkdom regularlyYour questions have started a really lovely discussion about Clutter Elves :rotfl::rotfl: Clutter Elves have a lot to answer for
Some of them have even taken the form of husbands/wives/brothers/sisters/sons/daughters etc What we all need are Wombles to take the clutter away
Well Done to those of you actually decluttering:- ScarletRibbons; parsniphead; Cherryfudge; butterfly2507; TamsinC; oceanspirit :T:T::T:T
Yippee :j I think I have caught up.
Yesterday I finished knitting the back of the matinee coat & started one of the front pieces. DSis & I had fish, chips & peas for dinner as DH was out.
Today has been a gloriously sunny & hot day. DH & I did some gardening. He has trimmed all our hedges & some of next door’s bushes etc that were overhanging our garden, as well as cutting down a load of clematis foliage that was trying to get into the shed :rotfl:. We have harvested 450g of hg rhubarb which I have washed, chopped, bagged & put in freezer. We have also re-staked & tied up our tomato plants. I harvested all the spring onions, lettuces & carrots from the table top ‘allotment’ :rotfl: - This has all been washed & will be used tomorrow. Before anyone thinks we can feed the 5,000 :rotfl: there were 13 spring onions, 3 of the smallest carrots you will ever see :rotfl: & 3 handfuls of lettuce leaves :rotfl: DSis & I have had a sliver of carrot each & cannot believe how tasty they are :T. Now we know we can do it, the plan is to be a bit more organised. I have plenty of notebooks so will allocate one for growing produce
DH & I have cleared up after ourselves & have one completely full garden bag & a neater garden :T
2451 - 2455 Compost bag & 4 lots of plastic detritus from garden - binned
2456 - 2461 Uu deodorant can, plastic bottle, 4 drinks cans - Recycled
Chinese for dinner tonight & tomorrow. I need to get back into 4 day menu planning using up freezer & larder stores + regular mini sm shopping.
Now I just need to start getting up in the morning
See you all tomorrow my fellow declutterers

I've tried and tried to sort sons room but to no avail. This afternoon I went and got him a unit with fabric tubs (4 large and 8 small) for his room. I dumped all the stuff on his bed and sorted what he wanted to keep into it. The rest is rubbish, charity shop or recycling.
I still have under the bed to do but the difference is amazing.:j I didn't think I was ever going to get to this point. £40 well spent in this case.
It will probably take most of tomorrow to finish the job but I think it can be done now.
Poor Henry's vacuum bag is getting a filling though.

1569 - weekly calendar thing to CS
1570 - 1571 - two ink cartridges for a printer we no longer have to CS
1572 - spent ages sorting out receipts for the work we are doing on the house. A task I have been meaning to do for months. That’s one ticked off the todo list.
1573 - 1574 - hubby decluttered a very large bush that was growing far too close to the house and a rose that was climbing through it. He then also cleared away a load of nettles, and the rubbish from when he cut the hedge, AND took away the dumpy bag I had asked him to do about 3 months ago.
Mrs SD thanks for the cheerleading - you are inspiring me to be a bit more effusive in my posts which is possibly not a good thing:rotfl:, but it feels more personal.“Isn't this enough? Just this world? Just this beautiful, complex

I hope the shed will be going at the end of the week so I suppose, thinking positively, this is another space that I can't refill.

Not much over the last couple of days, but have managed:
391-402: 12 pairs old undies - binned
403: broken child's brolly - binned
404-406: braising steak, peas, and C0rnetto-style things from freezer - into our tummies!
407-408: Last measure of gin & a can of pre-mixed mojito - into me!
409-428: Items to recycling bin
Today's jobs include clearing the dining table & de-junking a load of clothes, so I'm sure I will have LOADS more to add later today!
Just thought: I have drawers in my bedroom, mostly filled with carp - I bet there will be dozens, if not hundreds, of small things to chuck!!
Off for another cuppa to fortify myself before I take the plunge...
